Pictures of the course

Yes there is a barbed wire fence. I should have got a pic of the Turkish soldier with his rifle guarding the fence. That is the perimeter of the base you see in the background.

Not my home course but a great looking hole that I hope to play over thanksgiving again. Number 12 at Alto Lakes in Ruidoso NM. I don't get to down hill much here in West Tex >.<

Up in Washington it has been raining like crazy. So I have not been golfing lately.

I know you all think it always rains here. Really it just sprinkles a lot. No down pours. But lately it has been raining cats and dogs. And a lot colder than usual.

Very cool thread, I will post some pics after taking Wednesday off to play a round :act-up:

Here's my buddy hitting his 3rd to the par 5 16th yesterday (November 7th). The wind was blowing about 30mph (note the bend to the flagstick) and the leaves were in constant motion... made the wind even more of a distraction than normal. The temperature topped out near 80.... tomorrow it's only going to be in the 40's.

Nice looking course Rick! In fact everyone's home course looks different and fun to play.

Awesome courses guys! I wish my home course looked like that. Can't complain if the greens are good, though. $4 for a junior to walk nine, (or free on a weekday when they are closed :D.)

played a local course ive never played before today - here is the pix.

my fav hole #12 - #1 handicap. Literally a finger fairway guarded with a ladder sand trap then water the whole length of the hole on the left - out of bounds residential street on the right - i hit the fairway here perfect tee shot. this was my approach to a lower green - over water and sand - and guarded by hills and more sand. tough course.

some nice sandtraps here

par 5 green, i rarely try n go for a par 5 unless its right around 210-115. i murdered my tee shot about 290. left it 205 to green. so i pulled the hybrid and a little 3/4 swing - hit the front of green and rolled into the back middle trap! damnit. great sand shot to 7 feet - missed the downhill birdie :(

fun video of the par 3 - i thought i had my address - but it turned out pretty cool - par 3 playing 165 - hit a 7 iron with a nice draw to the front of the green - could have been a little longer - but two putted for par.

Every time I drive by this course, I desperately want to stop and play. This summer, I am going to play it, oh yes I am...

Wow man that course is breath taking beautiful!

It looks dark sometimes.

Hole #10 at Mojave Resort Golf Club (Laughlin, NV) - Par 5, 569 yds. from the back tees.

Great looking pics everyone! This is a fun thread, keep em coming!!

I forgot to post this one from the other day. This is right in the middle of the 15th fairway and that is not a snake, not a critter, not a gator. Nope, it's a part of a corn stalk. Yep, we have loose corn stalks just blowing around. I'll get a shot of a tumbleweed for One-T next time I'm out, I saw one but didn't snap a pic last time.

You talking about Old Union in Blairsville man that is one beautiful golf course however it will beat ya like a red headed step child! :deadhorse: It's a little short course at 7400 + yds from the tips. I will take my camera as well and take some good pics.

Yep, we got to make it a date next year to get up there and see some of that NC beauty!
