Pictures of the course

I'll just run around and wave the white towel for a surrender

Last Saturday I played 36 holes at Timberstone Golf Course in Iron Mountain. Beautiful woodlands style course. Very difficult.

This is the par 5 18th from the original post. 600. 3 tiered fairway. Large green with a pond protecting front right.

Here is the view from the tee box

17 is a 215 yard par 3. Plays two clubs short because of the elevation change. There is a spine in the middle of the green.

My favorite hole is the par 5 5th. 467 yards from the whites. Reachable in two. As long as you clear the pond that protects the front left of the green, and can hold the green. Behind the green is a large slope that falls into the woods.

Just want to add all the sawgrass has just been recently trimmed to appease members, so the conditions might not look as good as usual.

That is some seriously wooded course line bg! Great looking course.

Nothing better than some of those sunsets over the water.

Yeah it's a great course. Those trees do know a lot of bad drives back into the fairways. So that's nice.

Hahaha I didn't even think about that! Glass if half full indeed.

I play for a work outing. We have 60 guys out there for a shotgun start. You can hear the distinct sound of golf ball on tree all day. It's actually quite funny.

Hoping to get some pix of the course I'm playing tomorrow

I now tap while I talk

That hole looks like a lot of fun actually.

That's the 1/2 way point. Most fun hole is a par 3, tee boxes are 200 ft above green. Feels like forever waiting for the ball to come down.

I used my awesome Droid 2 to take some quality pics for the THP forums. http://www.arsenalislandgolf.com/

Par 5 that can make you a bit nervous to pick up the driver.

This is a neat little landing area on a par 4. You're pretty much forced to have a 200 yard approach from here, but there isn't much else you can do off the tee but try for this spot.

The slicer's dream hole hehe

Fun little par 3 that can play 140-160 depending on tee placement. Really shallow, undulating green. One of my favorite holes on the course.

LPGA International Legends Course

LPGA International Legends Course

Not as visually attractive as those nice mountain courses (anything with a natural hill more than 10 feet high is a mountain course to a Floridian), but I took the little PTBS (push the button, stupid) camera with me Saturday to LPGA International and played the Legends course:

Par 3 3rd hole, shortest on the course:

Short par 4 4th hole - I hit 5 iron, 8 iron:

Par 3 7th hole, long, into the wind that day, narrow green, deep bunker left, trees right, all carry over marsh in front. Lovely...

Tee shot on the par 5 8th hole - nice hole:
5826068532_1c269def1b_b.jpg

Tee shot and then the green area on the par 5 14th hole - another nice 3-shotter (into the wind):

5826072778_a1239aac8d_b.jpg

Par 3 15th hole green, kind of a redan style, high in front/left, lower in back/right:
5826073264_138aa0ae4b_b.jpg

Approach shot on 18, par 4 - have to stay right off the tee to get past/around a large oak on the left side at the dogleg, then the approach is over marsh with trees tight right and long, only a little bailout left:

Degoins took some pics from our round yesterday, I hope he posts them.....hint hint

Played Saturday down at Heritage Shores and for the money we paid(65 each) we got our moneys worth. No one was out there and the course was in great condition decided to take some pictures since it was the first time playing there great place even GPS on the carts was a surprise. It's more of a links style but is certainly a young course with trees being grown for years to come. Great place!

Hole #13 a layup hole with danger right, into the wind

View from 18s fairway(better view of clubhouse on right)

Hole #6 ate our lunch, pin was guarded by the bunkers
View attachment 2783

Hole #12 into the wind with a pot bunker right in the middle of the fairway
View attachment 2784

#10 easy hole downwind not long at all

Hole #18 downwind and great view into the pro shop and club house on the right(par 5)
