Pictures of the course

wow, this thread got reall good

Just some pretty courses! No photoshop involved here. There is a better pic I will take over the next week. It is a gorgeous course. Most of the 18 hole courses in Cape Breton have some breathtaking views. Built in the mountains overlooking water.

This isn't very pretty but pretty funny. Here was Slice and I's tee shot on the first hole this morning:

What you don't see is that there's a tight landing area in between two ponds left and right.

The Lakes Golf Club. Located in Ben Eoin, Nova Scotia, Canada. Built on either side of a ski hill and across from the Bras D'Or Lakes.

That looks like a beautiful course.

wow lefty & 23_lw those Pictures are absolutely gorgeous.....

For a belated Father's Day present, I played 18 on Saturday at a local "links" style course, Royal St. Patrick's. It was 85 and sunny with little wind, so hardly true links golf.

On the first tee with me, blugold-in-law, and Father-blugold.

3rd Hole, 503 yard par 5 - Slight dogleg right -water right and in front, OB to the left.

7th Hole 541 yard par 5. The two trees next to the arrow are right on a creek that is in front of the green. Anybody who tries to reach the green in two better get there or leave it short. Water on right and in front and OB to the left.

9th Hole, 350 yard Par 4. M1 off of the tee - 9i into the green. There is a creek that runs across the fairway that demands a 250+ carry.

19th Hole, 382 Yards. The tees were back. I can usually carry this bunker, not this day. From the bunker floor to the top, it's probably 5-1/2' I had to wedge out and over and iron into the green. I lipped my par putt.

Here are some pics of Dundee Resort and Golf Club in Dundee, Nova Scotia. It is a very scenic, hilly course. It is near impossible to walk it. Every hole is basically a hill and there is not a flat hole on the entire course.

#17 - downhill, severe dogleg right par 5

#7 - Par 3 with tees elevated over 80 feet above the green. A great hole! Ball just hangs in the air for days it seems.

I love these kind of threads. I started one up in another Australian forum. So I thought I might post a couple of ones I've loaded. Hope you enjoy them. Have a few from Huntingdale to post at another stage.

3rd Hole at Narooma, NSW, Oz. Taking on “Hogans Hole” pretty much water/ocean carry the (w)hole way...

I agree. Love the looks of those courses.

I figured it would be a good idea to have a picture thread of the course you are playing.

Here's # 7 tee box at Little Fishing Creek, green is straight ahead about 390 yards away.

And here's #16 from the tee, green is not visible over the hill about 400 yards away.

Edit - after seeing blu's comment, I guess we will be moving soon. lol

I love those blind tee shots. Really makes one think about the hole and the club to be used.

I know my comment was kind of a jerk comment, but I figured Seth could find the humor in it.

This is the tee for the par 4 10th. The green is on the far side of the lake.

This is the 12th green. The hole is a par 5 Played along and among these rock monoliths which were left untouched because they contain the fossils which the course is named for.

This is a sample of one of the course's diabolical bunkers. These things are often a horror to get out of, and I don't just mean your ball. Simply trying to climb out after playing your shot can be very difficult.

Fourputt that course is gorgeous! Those bunkers look mean
