Looks fantastic @Vortex Picture this thread up today buddy!
The fall pictures from you other guys are wonderful. Love seeing the courses and the fall colors.
Nate,
Whistling Straits and Sand.Valley had a baby and they named him Tobacco Road! You must put this course on your list.
FYI - we were the last group on the course. Played 42 holes.
N.C. has some incredible courses. Travel tip: bring a PGA Pro....they ‘might’ be able to get a deal, or two, for the group.
Vortex, great pictures man! Tobacco Road added to the list
I just watched a YouTube vlog on Tobacco Road (Buzza Golf). It looks awesome! added to my list. You won’t be disappointed. We had an amazing day. Mid Pines and Pine Needles tomorrow!

Like the last par 3, nice. Private? How do you get on without a membership?
Just got to say, these pics make me want to get back out to NC and play. Haven't played in NC in a few years and now I'm really missing it.Forest Creek near Southern Pines, N.C. If you ever wonder where Micheal Jordan, Roy Williams (UNC b-ball coach), and some guy named Wanamaker hang out, then this is the place.
Here’s a photo of the clubhouse followed by the bar area in the men’s locker room. We were the first players to arrive so I was able to take a couple of pics before staff got things going for the day.

Pictures of the North Course. Greens (dwarf Bermuda) are extremely fast. We got hit by some rain for a few holes.

The view on every hole is great...for both courses. Here are a few examples from the South Course. The greens have Bent Grass and the speed is slower and more respective to approach shots.

I hit several good drives. The fairways were soaked so there was not much roll.

I got it going pretty good with two birdies in a row on 5 and 6 but I came back to earth. I carded a second +3 on the front but settled down again and shot 87.
My buddy takes pics and plays the nicest courses in the country. Cypress Point, Sleepy Hollow, Bandon Dunes. He came here, NC, and played Pinehurst, Mid Pines, Dormie, and he couldn't stop talking about Tobacco Road. He loved it. He's an architecture junkie and takes some damn good pics. Check them outYou won’t be disappointed. We had an amazing day. Mid Pines and Pine Needles tomorrow!
