Today marks the official arrival of PING’s newest metalwood lineup, G440. Although the G430 will be a tough act to follow, PING believes they have achieved it. The improvement of G440 is centered not only around the never ending chase of achieving more speed and distance, but also maintaining the level of forgiveness expected from the G-Series. As always, the new lineup will feature drivers, fairway woods, as well as hybrids, and THP has your info on each.

I kind of don't know what to think about what Ping has done here with the drivers.

Interesting decision to make the standard driver lengths longer!

There are some really interesting things in this lineup.

What stuck out to me most was the deeper FW faces. Man it felt like that would never happen and needed to. Big fan of that.

The LST is over 9k MOI. For a low spin model that's pretty cool to think about.

And it all looks pretty good. I think the blue has a bit of nostalgia for original G lovers and it's cool enough to be appreciated by the younger crowd. Responses so far have been great!

I think these look far better than the 430. They've made some interesting changes. The addition of a 9* in the SFT is something I would have loved a couple years ago when my slice was far worse. These will be on my list to hit.

Can’t wait for the reactions to the price of the LST fairway…

I feel like this has been the longest road from when I saw them online first to actual release...let's dive in

-The term "free hosel" did make me chuckle. I don't mind the golf jargon that happens but this one felt silly
-I think the move of lighter and longer makes a ton of sense considering outside of us maniacs on here, people just picking up off the shelf will likely see bigger gains
-I love adding a 9 degree SFT and not just limiting it to 10.5 and 12...and draw+ sounds like it'll help a bunch of people setting wise
-The woods and hybrids look very clean and I love keeping the adjustability in the hybrid around
-$600 for the LST FW...woof

Been begging for they for ages. So useful for a certain player. It can seriously change their game.

I'm not sure anyone will care. They really don't sell many of them. Most don't entertertain it as an option and the few who do aren't worried about the price from what I've seen.

That’s a very different Internet you’re living in than the one I’m familiar with when it comes to price reactions. Maybe that’s just with certain OEM’s.

Fair. I'm thinking more about the overall world of players. I mean it's just so high that it's almost instantly dismissed. The eyes react, and then it's gone. Lol

@Jman is the G440 Max still "10K" or will they release that later?

There exists a certain degree of disdain already on the forum for Ping. that price will only add to it more.

$600 for the LST fairway is bananas. I saw a bunch of people who were looking forward to testing the LST 5 wood, probably not now.

PGASS has the presale price on the LST fairway woods at $549.99 which is better that $600, but not by much.

Good to see carbon make its way into the full line.

When I was looking at the G430 LST 3 wood I was ready to buy then saw the final price...it definitely made me back out LOL

There was no MOI talk as far as numbers from PING on this release, I'm talking in information directly from them, and I found that interesting.

I would expect a 10K model at a later date like with 430.

Is there? As a guy who has played and reviewed a LOT of ping clubs over the years here on THP, that is news to me.

Ping has a long history of crazy expensive fairways....remember the 2nd gen Rapture strong 3 wood? It was like 599$ CAD in 2011 or whatever LOL

That blurb about the SFT felt very targeted to me 😅

Also these are eye watering price ms across the board. Makes the other offerings this release cycle seem like bargains

Maybe it's just me.
