PING G440 Drivers, Fairways and Hybrids

After writing the release article, this is where my feelings are too.

Though I do think they are underselling the move to carbon crowns across the lineup...but, PING did down-talk carbon for a LONG time despite having done it way back in the day with Rapture haha
Running it back to see if it hits in 25, haha

Have never gamed a Ping driver so might have to give the Max a look. I guess lighter is better.

Can’t wait for the reactions to the price of the LST fairway…
I just woke up and am getting there. Expectations are low

I like the look. The feel was excellent in the couple of swings that I had a chance to take with the LST. Little effort was the key to a 260 carry and a straight ball flight. I couldn't tell the overall head size was smaller.

LST fairway wood can kiss my @ $ #$ thats so dumb. I don't care if its made from real diamonds.

The hybrids I recommend everyone try. The feel off of the face of the hybrid was almost CB-ish. It was very soft and smooth. The hybrids this season have been weakened 1 degree which was surprising. I guess internal weighting or just conversation point. The 23 degree 4H I hit got about 80% effort and a completely straight on target 200 yard carry. I believe this will go in the bag as a fun club this season. I'm gonna struggle to not add the 5H the 4H was so nice.

No Crossover this year @Jman ?

I've kinda abandoned that segment of clubs because I'm so much better with hybrids... I do love having the option though. Well written this release season my dude. Its going to be hard to not put this in the bag. Always love Ping drivers.

This is the first Ping hybrid I've ever cared for. Year in and out its the most over rated club release of the year. It is Ai Smoke hybrid good, and this year felt better to me.

Dig the smaller size of the 440 LST. Find it really interesting how the weight adjustment looks to be on the 440 SFT. Fairways are solid looking and like to hear they have a deeper face. Hybrids look to have a decent shape. It is interesting to me they didn't provide pictures that showcase the face and crown with what is mentioned. I'm not a huge Ping fan, but looks like a solid lineup for those that are.

Is there still a tubulator situation going on with these? It’s curious none of the provided pics from PING show the top of the crown.

I wonder how many people will think the non-LST fairways are inferior just because of the price gap.

Another quality article @Jman

Believe it or not, the fairways are turbulator free, and it makes them look pretty damn good.

We didn't get any images of the crowns, but, they have some up on their site now.

Wow that LST FW price is a little shocking.

Some interesting tidbits in the review with the longer shaft length.

Ooh. I like that. Now if only they would remove them from the drivers.

Ping is always popular in the PHX area since the HQ is here. Lots of places to try out the clubs. I have been to the factory for a fit a few times.

Obviously the driver spot is already spoken for in my bag by another OEM. I have hit pretty much all of the Ping drivers over the years. From what I read this seems like something I would want to try out if I were in the driver market. That is the first time I am saying that about a Ping in awhile.

Eh, I think its become a key visual recognition thing for drivers. Plus, there, they can show they make a difference in aero, in the hybrids and fairways they were always there to create visual uniformity.

They are fully invested. It’s been a battle cry for at least 5-6 generations now haha

Not a shot in hell 600 for an lst is happening.

Pretty wild the toe side forgiveness of the Max according to Coolclubs.

I’m actually excited for the hybrids

I hope so. That's criminal
It’ll be a good option for someone though, and in the end, that’s all that matters

Those prices are climbing up there. That is steep for a FW wood. I like the blue on there it looks nice. It is very interesting about lighter and longer on the shafts,

I’d bet it was a tour staff demand that was going to have some extra production.
