What does everyone think of, or have an opinon of Ping hybrids? I have been pondering a G430 SFT 5-wood, but now might just move to a G430 hybrid, as I am replacing an aging Snake Eyes hybrid, and transitioning to my hybrid-iron set from the top of my bag, it seems to make sense to just get the hybrid. Not looking for the longest club. I read reviews up and down the page from big box stores, to MGS, and other reviewers that test the equipment on the course. I want to know what THPers think! If you played an older model, or the latest iteration, I'd like to hear from you...

I currently have the G440 in my bag and played the prior gen model as well. Pings hybrids are my favorite. I find they bridge the gap well with spin and height requirements. To me I trust Ping and Cobra the most in these slots.

This won out because the numbers for me were more consistent. It has a great feel off the face. I have a couple of home courses here where I use this for a second shot on a par 5. I needed really good distance control and I just found they handled it best.

I have a 440 4 hybrid. I find it to be really easy to hit. I've used it off the tee, fairways, and thick rough without any problems with launch.

That's what I wanted to hear! Thank you!! I love my g430 3-wood! I shoulda figured the hybrids to be as good! Good launch, distance, the whole package...

I haven't really tried a Ping hybrid in several releases. 410 line was pretty darn good in that area and I have no reason to think the modern day ones aren't strong performers.

I impulse bought a 430 5 hybrid from the used rack at the PGASS last year and it quickly became one of my favorite clubs.

😇. They work well for some.

One of my biggest concerns is launch.. To get out of the rough, and get some distance. Need to get the ball up, and on target! My g430 3-wood gets the ball down the fairway, off the deck! Sometimes a not so good drive turns out to be a good hole, when I make up some distance with the 3. I am replacing a 20+ year old 18° hybrid, that still moves the ball, just not the way I need. Would make a beginner a good club, along with a 21° of the same make. I just want a little more...

I have a G430 5 hybrid. Versatile club, easy to hit, gets the ball up and out.

Ok! So I pulled the trigger today on a Ping g430 19° hybrid(3). It has been on sale for weeks at $259, marked down from $299. In the meantime, I got 2 Dicks reward cards totalling $70! Bottom line it rings up for $189 plus tax-$202.. Swung by PGASS and picked up 2 SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 midsize grips for $5.99 apiece, and a sleeve of Wilson Triads, to try them out after the season starts. I will change the grip, and when the weather starts being nice, I will head to the range, to get rid of the cobwebs...

I played Ping hybrids for years but didn’t get along with the G425 after my G410 broke.

I took a flier on a Cleveland hybrid that’s been absolute money for me for going on 5 years.

But I love G430 Max driver. And after the weight fell out of Cleveland Hy-Wood, I replaced it with a G430 5-wood and a couple of weeks ago and love it.

Now eyeing a G430 hybrid as prices come down. Don’t know why. Don’t need a new club. But somebody has to be in the doghouse…..

I played the first PXG hybrid (since the guys at PXG came from Ping), the Ping G425, G430, and now G440 in 4 and 5h - and they've gotten better with each version although the G430 to 440 may be a mini-jump - just some weight savings. They are accurate, longish, great feel, forgiving, can get up and launch - no issues with them. The key for me in the Pings and any hybrid is the shaft.

Easy to hit and generally pretty long.

I used to have the G425 3 and 4 hybrids and enjoyed them. I've had a love hate relationship with hybrids in general but I just added a G440 5H back into my bag and got to hit it for the first time today. It was cold and windy. Distance was not my friend today and was making lots of heel contact on every club but it was definitely going straight with no issues getting it to launch at 26* loft.

I'm kinda using the g430 #3 hybrid as my 5-wood. It will serve as a transition club to my hybrid-irons, which start at 24° with a 4 hi. Can't wait to really swing this club! Top of my bag starts with a Ping g410 SFT, set at 10.5°, followed by a Ping 3-wood, set at 16°, and now this Ping 3-hybrid, set at 20°. Hopefully, my static loft gapping will work out for my distance gapping. All these clubs are set to help me launch the ball higher than clubs I've had in the past. I have tinkered with my driver and 3-wood settings, but then found out delofting opens the clubface! Don't need that! I have a natural fade to start with! Don't need to exacerbate it! Can't wait to hit this hybrid...

I have G430 6 & 7 hybrids, but the 7 isn’t in play yet.
I also have DS ADAPT 4 & 5, and while I like them ok, the Ping‘s are better and easier to launch.

I have a G430 3 hybrid with a Denali Red stiff shaft just sitting in my garage that I only used for 2 rounds. I'm sure we could work out a deal if that works for you.

Any of the recent Ping hybrids would be perfect. They are all effectively the same since many generations, but excellent, adjuatable, and you will get any loft you need to fit your gap.

I just today cut off the original grip that came on the G430 hybrid I purchased recently. Put on the new SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 in midsize! I hope this grip is as good as the Lamkins I have played for a lot of years! I will be starting the season with my Maxfli Softflis.. I have bought a sleeve of Wilson Triads, but will wait to play them once I get my sealegs on the course...

I still have Ping G410 hybrids in the bag. I freakin love em. So easy to hit.

I love my ping g430 hybrids so much i have a back up of my 6 and my 4 hybrid and seriously considering getting an extra back up lol

The ping tour chrome 2.0 shaft is the greatest thing since sliced bread for me
