I have ALWAYS played a standard sized grip. Always....

However, this video between Daly and Bryson intrigued me more recently for some reason other than what i already know. Getting "fit" for grips often seems like its just not very fact based and strictly on how you feel about the grip or style in your hands. That said, ive heard and read alot recently about a larger grip being better to mitigate your misses one way or the other....by literally just switching to a larger size.

Now, too big of a grip isnt good either. But, those that have switched, did you notice an immediate difference? Good or bad?

Heres the clip i was referencing----ignore the discussion about one length.

I have always used smaller grips because i have tiny, feminine hands....however i do think there is merit to different grip sizes helping with dispersion depending on how you swing the club, as i think it can effect how the hands move through the swing.

My P7CB grips are closer to midsize. And i have posted here i have never seen better dispersion.

Going from standard to midsize helped my ball striking her more consistent. Going to +4 midsize help again. I think there's diminishing returns Going bigger but it for sure helped.

I do play midsized grips and my hands arenโ€™t particularly large. I wear a cadet ML glove. I definitely feel like I have better control of the club with less grip pressure.
Same here. I did try a foray into jumbos. Cost me speed.

I did a test a couple of years ago and I had 3 or 4 different grips on my clubs. I had standard, standard with an extra wrap, straight midsized and midsized with a +2. I settled on the Lamkin Sonar midsized which has the bigger bottom hand. I have them on all my clubs now.

Yep. Took my wrists out of play and itโ€™s been really good for me. I feel like Iโ€™ve gained some speed but didnโ€™t check between standard and the JumboMax. I feel this way bc Iโ€™m not gripping the club as hard now. I used their app and it put me in the medium. Really lets me feel the head more. Iโ€™ve really enjoyed them. A Lot. It felt really weird when I first put them on the clubs but about half way through the round it felt normal.

Been a MCC standard guy for as long as i can remember. Seems like a natural slide into the midsize version...

I do not want to lose speed at all.
Me either, but everyone is different and one can lose speed with smaller grips of subconsciously they feel the need to grip harder because it feels like theyโ€™re going to lose it during the swing.

What I donโ€™t get is the need for as much taper. One pro (I forget whom) said something to the effect that his hands are the same size so that much taper makes no sense (for him.)

Only thing I can recommend is to try their app and grab a couple. Maybe 1 for driver and 1 for an iron. I wanted my wrists out of the picture as much as possible and it helped with that. I know itโ€™s not for everyone but I canโ€™t see myself going back as of now. Next regrip I may go with a small instead of a medium but thatโ€™s it. Standard grips feel like twigs now lol. I also had a problem with gripping the club too tight and this has really helped. Iโ€™ve already noticed my gloves are not wearing near as fast in the heel of my palm where they used to pretty fast.

I have small hands too. I wear a cadet medium and was concerned about moving into larger grips bc the myth was it causes the rights, which is my typical miss but I donโ€™t struggle turning the club over at all with the larger grips. I honestly think it has helped my dispersion.

Iโ€™ve tried standard, midsize and my current go-to MCC +4 midsize.

But Iโ€™m going to try JumboMax medium. Just waiting on my order to get here. Iโ€™m hopeful itโ€™ll tame some of my wrist movement since I think I can get flippy or close the face sometimes. Excited to see what happens.

We sound eerily similar. Id just love to eliminate (as much as possible) the wristy action I have sometimes. Also with the gloves

I gambled and bought a full set and just committed and itโ€™s been a good change for my game. I was pretty certain they would do what I was hoping but worst case I was out a couple hundred bucks.

Seems like you snd i are again, the same in that i typically just dive in. Head first lol

I noticed a pretty immediate difference for the better. Mainly my hands didnโ€™t hurt as much and I didnโ€™t feel like I had to death grip the club.

I have midsized MCCโ€™s on mine if we ever get out. Youโ€™re more than welcome to try some swings.

Thanks buddy!!!! Soooooooon!!!!!

I got some jumbomax mediums a couple years ago (I'm an XL glove) and they were ridiculously big, so they helped me move to an XS, still too big unfortunately, but their customer service was awesome.

I have some arthritis in my hands as well as they are double jointed, and I know larger grips help, but my thumb would pop out on the back swing swing and make my swing way worse than it already was, lol.

I've ended up with some mid size grips that help with fatigue and don't seem to come with as many issues with my thumb.

This thread is so timely. Been wondering the same thing. I have a really hard time controlling an early release with the hands. I too have been using MCC +4 standard and I too am a cadet glove wearer. Going to talk to my coach about it some, but I am interested in seeing what you do. As if I needed more stuff to ponder about!
