Have you swapped back and forth between the two?I have really found a great zone for me in terms of timing and tempo with the HZRDUS Yellow and had my best driving day of the season last time out with it. As someone who has typically played low spin/low launch driver shafts, it does exactly what I need for how I deliver the club. With HZRDUS, they are definitely more stout than others in the PX lineup, and some may be put off by that, but if your swing aligns with what the HZRDUS yellow wants to do for you, it's such a great and stable shaft. I've used the HZRDUS black a lot in the past, and have one that I can also use with my current driver, the Cobra DS-Adapt Max K, but the yellow IMO does everything the HZRDUS black does, but with a bit more pop and smoothness to the swing. I've seen some of my longest drives come with the HZRDUS yellow, but still get similar ball flights to the HZRDUS black.
I've had some others try this combo as well, and players that also hit it high like I do have good success with it, but it's definitely a lower launching combo, as a few that don't hit it nearly as high as I do had a bit of trouble elevating it. So the low launch/low spin aspect is definitely there. But if you do tend to launch it well to begin with, this is a great shaft that does exactly what it's intending to do, and can help flatten the ball flight out for you.
I played the HZRDUS black in the Max-K for a month or two prior to getting the HZRDUS yellow, and I've been using the HZRDUS black in different drivers for a while now. So not really swapping back and forth, but I am very familiar with what I can get out of the HZRDUS black.Have you swapped back and forth between the two?
Curious if you would see more distinction between the two with the swing really groovedI played the HZRDUS black in the Max-K for a month or two prior to getting the HZRDUS yellow, and I've been using the HZRDUS black in different drivers for a while now. I had the longest drive of the year with it before I sent it off. When my swing with the driver is on this is money. So I tried @outlawx 6.5 flex today on a fairly long sim session. It’s too stiff for me, it showed promise though. It definitely played low spin and lower launch for me, without feeling too harsh like Ventus Black can.
I had some of the longest drives I’ve seen on the sim this year, but spin was low around 1800-1900. The tip and handle felt good, MUCH better than any Denali I’ve tried, and seemed stiffer in the right areas compared to the Ventus Blue. I was seeing 5 mph-ish more ball speed than my normal average with the ventus.
I have spent way too much on shafts this year, but will hit up the used market and see if I can’t source a 60g 6.0 pull to give it a go. This has promise, with my aggressive transition and need to keep spin down.
You know I don’t have the SS you do. That being said a 6.0 version has been acquired, which should fit my swing a little better. I saw enough potential with yours to give one a go.I had the longest drive of the year with it before I sent it off. When my swing with the driver is on this is money.
I’m sad it isn’t quite working out for you. It’s a fantastic shaft
I’m happy for you, I know you’ve been chasing something with the driver all year and the Yellow is truly one of my favorite shafts!!You know I don’t have the SS you do. Knowing you loved it, was the reason I pulled the trigger quick on a purchase to try it. I've found I get along with everything you like, but aim just a step down in flex from you.I’m happy for you, I know you’ve been chasing something with the driver all year and the Yellow is truly one of my favorite shafts!!
Looking forward to your feedback when you get a chance to get the 6.0 in play. I'll live vicariously through you for the winter haha.Knowing you loved it, was the reason I pulled the trigger quick on a purchase to try it. It will be an experiment, like others. The distinct low spin caught my attention though. I just couldn't spin it up high with the Elyte (core) in probably 50 swings. It's similar spin numbers to the AD-DI, but the Yellow kept the ballflight a ton lower, which is also desired. I was seeing about 80-90' peak heights (vs 115-120' height with AD-DI)..
I suspect that a 6.0 flex may loosen up things a little, but I'm hoping it falls in line with what I'm looking for. With the 6.5 flex I felt like I was trying to over swing it, and had some duck hook misses. Which I have with every super stiff shaft.
I think there should be one in the mail for you to review shortly….Looking forward to your feedback when you get a chance to get the 6.0 in play. I'll live vicariously through you for the winter haha.

I have really enjoyed my time with this guy. I think it will have a chance to be the gamer next season.
Yes this shaft needs to be reviewed by someone who was a huge fan of the ogOh really?
Lets GOOOOUSPS has a long skinny box out for delivery today, which should be my entrance into this thread for a while. I should have follow up this weekend.
A Callaway strong adapter is curing on the new Hzrdus Yellow 6.0 as I type this. I’m headed out of town the next two days but will cut it to length and throw on a grip this weekend. Maybe get some swings on it Sunday.Lets GOOOO
Oh yeah? Anything special?I think it’s time to do this.
