Project X HZRDUS Yellow G5 Shaft

For those of you that don't know TTJackson is our newest employee, working in our marketing group.

He claims to have a 180+ ball speed but suspiciously had to have knee surgery right before he started so who knows....
Welcome to the team and THP @TTJackson

@TTJackson @DB TT suspicious knee injury indeed.....
Told my knees we were going to full send it in rec league hoops, but the right ACL politely declined... if anyone asks I made both free throws on the way to my orthopedic surgeon though!

What would you guys do?
Play the black one, or hope for a yellow version?

I kind of love the black with the yellow writing.
Yellow is not a good look in shafts. If full yellow. Maybe something like the hulk. Where it goes black to yellow or something. Yellow is too bright.

Doesn't think depend on what you're in to?

It's kind of fun to have such a departure from the norm

Sure. I loved the haz yellow shaft. But I didn’t like the hand crafted yellow version of it. Too much. If you like it, cool by me. Just wasn’t my thing. But! I think it could be done in a way that could be bold and controlled at the same time.

Mamba mentality.

I never had the full yellow version, only the black with yellow writing. But I absolutely love this and can't wait to hear more testers thoughts on these. I remember the first time I swung a driver with a HZRDUS yellow in it and I fell in love instantly.

@DB TT or @TTJackson can either of you give a breakdown of the differences between the HZRDUS Blue and the HZRDUS yellow? I went with the HZRDUS Blue last season because what I read about it, it sounded like an updated yellow, but it didn't seem to give the same flex profile the Yellow did. It felt much closer to the HZRDUS black than the yellow to me.

The Blue and the yellow are the same lineage. We had some customers at the time who thought Yellow was to loud and garish and it was going to keep them from using it in their products so we switched to Blue. Fast forward a few years and people aren't as afraid of the Yellow and that model has more brand equity so we went back to yellow.

It's like Jordan, started at 23, went to 45, then switched back to 23. Same great player the whole time...

So you're saying it was all in my head lol

Interesting the Blue is the same lineage, I loved the Blue.

Yeah, it's been really fun seeing the progression of the yellow in concept.

Great report @Canadan.

HZRDUS Yellow was probably the first shaft that I knew and recognized. That yellow paint job sure caught the eye!

I’m kind of glad these are a little more subtle.

I love the yellow. I have my own custom yellow with an extra flag at the tip. Boom.
You were the first guy I thought of when I saw these!

OH!!! This makes so much sense I never realized it.. I knew the blue was counter balanced. I loved the look of the blue.. It also worked well when I tried it. I agree the golfing world is more willing to go loud. I do think I prefered the limited release/hand crafted blue metallic look over the bright yellow though.

I need an all yellow version...looking like I'm wielding an old TPS Response hockey stick out there

I am really curious with this one, being more low taj/low spin, how big of a change that would actually look like.

Do I think I could stand to be lower trajectory? Sometimes. Would it actually be beneficial for my swing, and at my speed? I honestly am not sure.

If one has never swung a counterbalanced driver shaft, how would you describe the difference? I've read the head feels lighter. I am currently in a Tensei blue 60x but in fitting saw I am kind of in between mid/low spin and launch needs so could go either way. This particular shaft also seems interesting for a faster tempo, but unsure how it compares to what I have now.

Really interested in following along and maybe getting to try it myself
