Improving!
I was lucky enough to get a DF2 from Jank this year and it has the single dot as an alignment aid. I am finding I need some more guiding alignment help as I learn to use it. I've seen on here and elsewhere people use different methods to add alignment:
Car pinstripe stickers + heat
Acrylic paint pen
Even nail polish or white out

I understand that stickers are PGA illegal but I am not playing in any real tournaments so I am less concerned about that. But those of you who have modified alignment, which method did you use? Any pointers on doing it?

I would start with a pinstripe because it is easily removed. Once you had something you like I would probably try something more permanent like a paint pen. You could also tape off where you want the line and paint it like a pinstripe on a car.

Get a silver Sharpie or a white paint pen and use a square against the putter face to draw a perfectly straight line.

I was going to try an acrylic pen taped off with painters tape I think. Seems easier to me than heating and placing a sticker and it should be not too hard to remove if needed.

Used the automotive tape and I think it turned out pretty well! Almost perfect but I only notice imperfections if I stare at it. Didn't affect me this weekend on the course. Definitely helped me with alignment. Thinking about pulling off the lateral stripe and just keep the vertical, but I'll leave it for now

None of the putters I ever used in 4+ decades of golf (4) did not have any alignment aids that I used. Maybe some had a dot ir something similar.

The only alignment aid I ever used was an intermediate target 12-15 inches in front of the ball, on my chosen line I wanted to start the ball on.

I practice this a few times every week. On a known level surface, I lay a dime/penny. 12-15 inches in front of the ball. I then practice rolling straight putts over the coin.

Just my $0.02 worth.
