It’s been a while since this was discussed so I thought I’d bring it up again. Also, when does your family put up the tree?

Artificial for both and we had ours up the day after Halloween

Real, not a fan of fake.

Artificial, because of allegies.

Artificial. Can't deal with needles in my house.

I try every year to get the family to wait until after Christmas, I always lose.

Artificial. Not fond of having another fire hazard in the lounge room.

Was always a real tree guy, but the prices of the trees is just getting a little out of hand. Broke down last year and bought a fake.

The one upside to artificial is the pre lit trees and they always look great but I just prefer real

We are doing a Grinch tree this year I'm told....

Both wasn’t an option but for us it’s both. Main trees go up right away and they’re artificial but my office gets a real tree and that goes up in a couple weeks

We used to be religious about having a real tree, now we are on the artificial train but the more pressing issue is Multi-colored lights ALWAYS :)

I'm on the real tree train. I grew up with them and I think the imperfections are what make them perfect.

We've gone artificial the last 4-5 years because real trees were starting to creep up in price for a decent one. My wife has a diffuser with that Christmas tree smell and when you walk in the house you think we have a real tree.

Artificial now, but growing up we used to go to a Christmas tree farm and cut one down for the holidays. Likely going to do that at least once in the coming years.

I prefer real, but we have artificial. Always easy to just grab it out of storage and have it set up quickly. A lot less messy getting it in and out too.

We did real until we got in our mid 50's and from then on, Balsam artificial.

Used to do real but hated the hassle. Switched to artificial awhile back and haven't looked back.

Fake tree.

No Xmas decorations until after sunset (5pm) on T-Day.

Fake, don’t need the pine needles and bugs all up in my house

This is a good point, tree prices around me have gotten a bit out of control from what my friends tell me

For years when the kids were little, we made the trip up north and cut down a perfect tree from the sanctioned forest (got a sticker and everything to make it legal). These days we have a high end artificial tree that we put up in the family room (mainly for the grandkids).

Artificial. Way less mess, but I do miss the nice smell of a real tree.

I was told it's probably because of mold which can increase the longer the tree is indoors.
She definitely can't touch them and the smell also sets her off
