Ribbed grips on irons?

I might have to try these on irons. I still think I manipulate my wedges too much for these but I could see how they would help on irons and fairways

This is me. I have some GP Aligns but I could not bring myself to use them because I like to position my hands differently sometimes. I may have to put one of those align grips on a wedge and mess with it some this year just to see if there is anything to it.

A question for those who use these. If you play a punch shot with the ball further back in your stance does the align rib being different in your grip feel awkward or do you not notice it?
