The Yankees ace has died at 91.

Former Pirates broadcaster Bob Prince loved to tell the story about the 1960 World Series, in which the Yankees set a record that still stands for most runs scored in a seven game World Series, but still lost to the Pirates. Pirate broadcasts were sponsored by Plymouth, and he said "Plymouth approached me and said, 'Can you try not to mention Whitey Ford's name?' Yeah, right. All he did was beat us twice."

I am just a little too young to remember Whitey Ford. Another HOF player that passed in 2020 (Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, Tom Seaver, Al Kaline).

Less than two months remain for 2020.
Keep repeating this.

i liked using him in mlbtheshow

Watched him quite a bit. Seems back then most of what was televised was mostly Yankees or Dodgers.

Another good one gone. RIP.
