RV's, Travel Trailers, 5th Wheelers, etc...Camping. Who has what and what you enjoy.

Just finalized purchase of a 24’ travel trailer (Grand Design Xplor 240ml), and will pick it up next weekend. We live in an RV hot spot and did a trial run with a rental and loved it. We are making plans for many destinations already. Skiing this winter (not right on the mountain of course but under an hour drive from the park), National Parks, Vegas, who knows what else. Can’t wait!

We have been full-timing in our Newmar Mountain Aire DP coach for a little while in Flagstaff until DW's contract in the cardiac cath lab at the hospital expires. We are backed up to 1.8 million acres of Coconino National Forest where I take the dogs hiking every day. There is a good course here and some great golf courses 45 minutes away in Sedona and Williams.

Mountainaire is a gorgeous rig.

Tent or camping hammock for me.

I like to get away from people.

I have a seasonal site right on the Portage river in Oak Harbor Ohio. I'm right on the water in a cove. I can hop on my wave runner and be in Lake Erie in less than 10 mins. And I don't have to leave my campsite. Just purchased a 30' 2021 Keystone Passport 2400RB to replace a 2003 Dutchmen that I bought used and upgraded a year later. There is 7 golf courses that are close. So, when I go to the campground, I can go play in the morning and spend the rest of the day on the water. Plus the campground is 1 hr from home. It's close enough to run home if I have to but still far enough to feel like I get away. Here are pics of the new camper.

The wife and I are not hard core but we do still slog a backpack and traipse thru the woods. We have done little parts of the AT. She has dreams of doing St James Way. I'm game but not sure she could spend that much time away from her GB's.

Just upgraded to this:

Loving the room in a 5th wheel. Pulls like a dream with new truck.

My aunt & uncle want to buy back the 2003 Jayco we bought off them 5 years ago. I was planning to sell in the spring anyways. Win-win!

Our next model will be smaller and off-road/off-grid capable. Too many wide open spaces to see... really just need a dry bed, restroom and storage. We never use the kitchen, always cook outside anyways. I wouldn't mind an outside shower to be honest. Wife might care about that one...

This is ours. We’re taking it out in a couple weeks close, then to the NC foothills next month, and will be in Fort Wilderness at Disney the week of Christmas
