Shaft adapter

Hello, this might seem a silly question to some, but for me, I am unsure whether this is possible.

I currently have a Nike machspeed black with an RIP shaft. I love the shaft and was wondering if it could be used with another manufacturers head on it?

If I understand the question yes, any shaft can be used with another head if the tip diameter is the same. And in some cases with a sleeve those can even be used. As far as the adapter mentioned in the title, they for the most part are incompatible and you will need the one that works with the head you chose.
