Great article. Likely going to be picking one of these up based on feedback.

I do have this same concern. Especially if I am going to want to be practicing this into a net.Great article @Hawk thanks for the details.
I didn't see it in the article or here, but I see with the distance and club speed and everything - does it tell you in any capacity about shot shape or directionality? I worry that I pick this up and use it for some home training then I get to the course and it can't translate because I didn't know what I was shanking the ball 30% of the time and now my increased practice has given me bad habits.
Oh I agree this is a very interesting unit especially if it integrates with Shot Scope app and works with speed training aids.To me, this is the most exciting new product this year that isn't a golf ball or club.
I have other priorities on my agenda ahead of this - but if they can keep it in stock into the late spring/early summer, I will probably pick one up.
It would be neat to compare via testing both units.Feels like this is very much a competitor to the PRGR portable launch monitors but with the added benefit of the Shot Scope app. That’s a pretty intriguing position in the market in my opinion.
I see what you did there. This little thing is definitely on my radar
At about 0:20 in the video in @Hawk's article, it shows a screen that says "Speed Training". We don't know any more yet, but maybe there's hope for those who are looking for that capability?Pretty cool little device. Love that it will track your seasons in the app.
Can it do clubhead speed training without a ball?
That's the big part I want to see. At the price point, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't integrate with anything now...but I'm hopeful that ShotScope has left the door open to updates that do integrate at least their products. I know integration with things like The Stack might take a little longer, simply because you need them in on the process too.Oh I agree this is a very interesting unit especially if it integrates with Shot Scope app and works with speed training aids.
And for $200 it’s a no brainer!
That may be the case but since it’s Shot Scope I doubt they raise the price or go to any sort of subscription model. Any other company, well they’d milk that cow dry with subscriptions. That's the big part I want to see. This might be one of those things where you save yourself a lot of money by getting in on the ground floor at the current price...because if they do have the ability to update it to add features, the price will probably go up.
Don't think anyone has one to test accuracy as of yet. This would be really nice to dial in distances. Seem super easy to carry around and place. I didn't see it talk a ton about accuracy in the article. Have you seen any accuracy issues from 100 yards and in for distances with wedges?
Definitely no subscriptions...that's a big part selling point for them - but I can see the price go up at point-of-sale with updated capabilities. That may be the case but since it’s Shot Scope I doubt they raise the price or go to any sort of subscription model. If it’s as accurate as Shot Scope always is then I would be more than ok with a price increase here!Definitely no subscriptions...that's a big part selling point for them - but I can see the price go up at point-of-sale with updated capabilities.
I mentioned this in another thread, but I almost kept scrolling when I saw the price...then I saw Shot Scope and it made me think this could be different. They have a reputation which makes me think this could be really good.If it’s as accurate as Shot Scope always is then I would be more than ok with a price increase here!
I would say, little steps for them first to see the sells numbers then maybe they will innovate and add more capabilitiesIf it’s as accurate as Shot Scope always is then I would be more than ok with a price increase here!
Oh the name makes this product an instant contender if you’re in the market.I mentioned this in another thread, but I almost kept scrolling when I saw the price...then I saw Shot Scope and it made me think this could be different. I 100% agree - this is the first step and then see if there is a position to make LM2 the simulator for garageNever know, these guys are always innovating. I personally feel this basic entry into the LM scene could very well be testing the waters for a more detailed LM in the future.
Very good point!I would say, little steps for them first to see the sells numbers then maybe they will innovate and add more capabilities
So you could get numbers with the actual balls you play? Unless you're into sacrificing your gamers at the range, it would be the best option for outdoors if you want numbers from your gamers rather than range balls.so quick ask - why would you take this out on course? seems like it tells you carry and total distance with smash factor. ...
