Shot Scope X5 Watch

this is why we are friends. Neo X was brought to the Budget Championship with me as a backup plan because I couldn't remember if I grabbed my charger for the T9(after realizing I didn't pack mine for the V3). Neo X just lives in my car with my charger because its still reliable.

It definitely works in a pinch :drinks:

I upgraded to the latest firmware and played 9 holes last night in league. Only had 1 hiccup. It was working great but when I got to the green on hole #5, it wouldn't go to the number of putts screen (auto putting mode). I had to go into the menu and select 'pin collect' and then it worked fine the rest of the round. Fingers crossed this fixes most people's issues.

I used the newly updated firmware on the X5 and it was for GPS only but wow that is a powerhouse of a watch. It might have been user error but the scrolling seemed better and i might be becoming a bit better with the screens and UI - still not great with side to side for hazards etc.

I feel like the swipe up to unlock is still a bit slow and you need to swipe all the way up but now that I know that and don't expect to act like my apple watch I'm ok it with it.
It was before the latest firmware update, but I got so frustrated with the slow responsiveness of swiping, both unlocking and moving from screen to screen, that I decided to try it unlocked. I moved it just enough up my arm to avoid my glove hitting the crown button, and with the new tags I have not had a missed shot nor any other issues. Unlocked, it is so much easier to scroll through the screens using the crown button.

How did the Shot Scope Experience group feel regarding comfort with a full day of multiple rounds of golf?
Lightest golf watch/watch I have ever worn. Truly forgot it was there. Super comfortable and easily got 27 holes in on the battery with plenty to spare.

Are there any plans to offer sensitivity adjustments for the touchscreen? Is it even an option?

Lots of times go to add a putt and mark the pin instead :(

Also any plans to add a 'minus' button to the manual putting screen so that if you happen to add a fourth putt that didn't happen it an be removed right then and there?

Same request. Need a quick way to fix manual putting when a mistake is made. Playing partners get annoyed when you're standing at the pin and fidgeting with your watch for 2-3 minutes.

As far as the comfort of the watch? I didn’t even notice it was there, honestly. And - as I’ve said - this is coming from someone who thought they’d hate wearing a watch.

Appreciate the comments on comfort guys.

I don’t wear a watch but have been wearing this all day for both steps and golf. Haven’t had any moments where I’m irritated by it being on.

Ok, I'm left handed, but golf right handed. I've worn the watch on my left arm for previous rounds to make sure the tracking worked... tonight with the new firmware, I'm going to attempt to wear on my right arm (more comfortable)... we'll see how many holes I wear this for until switching to the left arm

Also will then test touch screen function while wearing a golf glove 🤔

I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be on your opposite or top hand so that it picks up the tag. Let us know how it goes

So, I asked a simple question earlier in the Data thread that I find super helpful to know. I asked about a pause function for those solo rounds when I like to work on shots in between. I keep a main score but it’s my favorite way to practice. I thought it existed - props to @TWright971 and @The Dave for a quick answer. Posting here for those who may have had a similar wonder.

Just played a quick 9 PB (Post Ballyhack). Zero issues during the round. The X5 found the course in seconds. That has been my biggest complaint thus far so I was seriously thrilled to see it find the course quickly. I really like the new interface. It seems clean with the scoring and club selection in the top corners.

I’ll provide an update on the upload when I get home this evening. I’ll have a fair amount of golf over the next few days.

Also. For those wondering - 9 hole round, took me about 1:25. Still at 82% battery life.

Hi all,

Big thanks to the Data Experience guys for testing a version of this firmware last weekend.

We have just released 2.1.13 for X5:
- Solves the reboot to clockface issue
- FMB screen has been redesigned to aid swiping
- The scorecard shortcut offers quick access to Add Penalty and Scorecard

The team are working on iOS connection for anyone suffering from that, I will report back when I hear news on that.
Thanks for the update, Gavin. Any plans in the works for the issue with manual putting when it starts defaulting to 2 as soon as you walk on the green?

Good news, found course GPS on under 1 minute. Don't wear on right arm for right handed golfer...didn't register. Switched arms on hole #2...worked great rest of round

Awesome. Glad to hear it found your round quickly as well. That’s a great instant upgrade.

Just uploaded my round. I got an error message but it seems erroneous. It appears to have uploaded entirely intact. I’ll go through the sign off here soon and provide a little more feedback.

You could always just tap it in the watch band as part of your routine and then could wear it on whatever wrist you want.

Tried to remember that...rather just wear it on the left wrist and let the watch and sensors do their magic automatically

No major issues on the upload.

The Best of Me:

Easy 9 hole course. It’s a nice spot to go practice. Never real busy, cheap, really scenic. It was super windy today. I was downhill, downwind here. Hit a really nice drive and a massive pulled 6 iron. I used a Gavin lesson shot but put a little too much on it. Fortunately, I made a 20 footer to start off with a birdie! Also - used the L2 this entire round. Decent amount of elevation and it worked well.

The Worst of Me:

Just all kinds of sloppy here. Directly back into that strong wind. I tried to tee the driver super low - again, a Gavin tip - but it didn’t go super well, haha. I then fully missed with a 3W. Hit a 9 iron that ballooned into the wind. Chip up, two putt.

It kept showing my 38 (+3) as E while I was checking everything but it corrected when I signed off. No missed shots. As I said before, I like the look of the new interface. It’s clean.

I’m going to get a fair amount more data the next few days at a couple tougher courses. I’ll do a dive into the dashboard breakdowns after those rounds - beginning of next week. Excited for that.

That's fair! I tap them anyways because I don't trust them and no way I'll remember what I hit from where if they don't read.

Looked at the upload, from what I can quickly see, it didn't read my putter well from the green. Most shots show 2ft over and over again.

Full swing shots registered mostly in my quick flip through the holes
