(How’s that title for the No Context Thread?)

We’ve had similar threads before, but these are always fun to look through.

The first thing I buy at any new course I play is a logo ball. The collection has grown through the years.

Show me yours; I’ll show you mine.

For a second, I thought I clicked the wrong website 😬

At least other people are doing this now so it's harder to zero on me for my jokes, which are often far less explicit.

Dang it - I just went through six years worth of photos on my phone and can't find a photo from when they were all hanging in my office....

I get a ball from the courses I play at, only missing 2 (they didn't do logo balls). Mostly Maine courses, 2 NH, 1 NE. Collection slowed down after I joined my local course.
Top row is other balls I liked.

I'm still haunted by Ashley Plantation.

I built 2 of these from plans on the web, they are no longer available, but it was an easy build. I collect sets of logo balls for various reasons;
1. Some from each course I play, or I make one if they don't have any (I posted how to do this on another forum).
2. And some for my 50 states project, i.e. I want to play at least 9 holes in each state.
3. And a few others for things of interest, like my university, my wife, kids, companies that I worked in my career, etc.

I am impressed with some of your racks. Very nice.

I only have a couple balls I keep for various reasons. The only one I display at all currently is a Grandaddy ball I have in my living room, with some other Grandaddy stuff as a shrine of sorts I keep in hopes of one day getting there. hehe

Gonna need to look into a small rack as I have a couple I should get out and display somewhere I'm thinking now.

Love the consistency of your displays. If I ever do mine over, I’m going to stick to one display type.

I have about 10 more so debating buying another rack

No. Never have collected suff from courses I played unless it had a useful purpose, like a pitch mark tool. Hell, i just dont collect stuff period. I threw out all my hole in one trophies and certificates. Just more clutter in my world.

That's fine too and I get the clutter part of it. I have a lot of stuff (not just golf related) and look at it and ask myself why keep it? It brought me joy at one point, but now they're mostly just taking up space.

My HIO ball gets top center priority in my office display case.

My HIO ball gets top center priority in my office display case.

That's a good discussion - how are your balls laid out in the case? Is it just logo balls from courses played or are low scores, HIO or other special balls included? And in what order?

For me, all my balls are one of three different types:
  • Logo ball from a course played
  • Logo ball from an PGA event either gone to or charity tournament played in
  • Miscellaneous special balls - THP logo, Goat Cup, Arnold Palmer Truvis, Packing Chowda ball, etc.
And since I like things organized, everything is in the ordered played, attended or received.

I don't have a HIO, but if I ever got one, I'd put that ball in its own case.
