Surely some fellow hackers share my love of the water! We have a 4metre aluminium stacer with a 30hp merc on the back that I have taken places a boat that size has no right to be. We go fishing, camping, exploring and relaxing in it. Hoping that some people have some boats I can ogle at!

Here is my flats boat. Its a 21' Shallow Sport. Not a fast hull by any means (high 40's low 50's) but can run over wet grass and get up on plane as long as the boat is floating.

Here is my 18/52 blazer flat bottom jet boat. Floats shallow and when on plane and motor trimmed up it will run in very shallow, or as we call it in Missouri, skinny water. I run it on our gravel bottom rivers here in southern Missouri.

That thing is awesome!! I've been thinking about getting a fishing boat of some sort. Might have to look at these.

My wife and I were talking about getting a boat Saturday night, won't be happening in the near future, but still was exciting to see how much interest she had in it. I grew up on the water, and miss boating. The problem I would run into is only picking 1 boat!

My boat!

Thank you sir. I love my boat, it's what we have to use around here on the rivers. I take it fishing at the lake as well. Not great on big choppy water but gets the job done. Where are you located?

This thread won't be complete until somebody throws this jewel out there:

What are 2 of the happiest days in a man's life:
1. The day he buys his boat
2. The day he sells his boat.

I went thru these emotions when I bought/sold my Starcraft deck boat. Loved it when I was on the water. Hated towing it & the maintenance required.

I won't own another boat unless I live on a lake & have a boat house with a lift.

I am actually trading in my duck boat this week as it just doesn't get enough use. We love our Yamaha 210SX however. The only maintenance required is engine oil, spark plugs, and some grease points. It has been the perfect boat for our family.

Slalom skiing is probably my one former hobby I would give up golf to get back into, golf is just a whole lot easier and cheaper.

I use to love that before I discovered wakeboarding. I tried again last year but the ski I used as a kid doesn't support the extra 60 pounds I've gained since age 13.

I learned to ski first, then got really big into wake boarding and later wake skating, which I still love. But I got back into 3 event in college and loved it.

Well since your in Illinois, you could be pretty close to Southeast/Southcentral Missouri. There are lots of dealers down this way that can fabricate and put them together however you like. I like tiller steering, easier and quicker to turn plus makes a lot more room in the boat. I have a 60/40 hp motor. It's 40 hp at the jet, we have a 40 hp motor restriction on the current river here in Missouri which is where I go the most. The dealer where I got mine is Ernies Sales in Ellington Mo, he is also on Facebook but look for The Jet Doctor, that's what he gos by. Also look for blazer boats on FB, they are also in Ellington Missouri and make a damn fine boat. Let me know if u have any questions bout my set up, always glad to help out. When I not on the course I'm on the river.

Nice old school Wakesetter! Fantastic hull that throws a sweet wake when weighted properly.

What made you go to the center console nut?
