Show Off Your Putter Collection

Not mine I'm just curious. Has anyone ever seen an Adams Damascus putter? Saw one come up for sale locally and was intrigued. Not enough to pay their asking price though! Just never seen one before.319666779_5832010306920590_6881633172773533334_n.jpg

Just made me stop and look for a second because I've never seen one. Then moved on when I saw the asking price. lol

The latest photo, just taken this afternoon and (added text) enhanced in Photoshop. I have been looking at various Ping B60's on Ebay and 2nd Swing, etc... and for some reason, some mysterious "rabbit hole" type of thing, I am intrigued and want to pick one up to add to my collection.

Should I? Should I not? How many putters is too many? :D

Oh yeah.... Once I tried out an Odyssey White Hot, that was it. No other putter felt like it. It was just magic.

One more update (I promise. -- just like I had to promise my wife) ;)

I was missing an "80's" putter in based on my earlier posting, photo collection, etc... So, I with the help of eBay, I stumbled upon a 1983 Ping B60 in fantastic condition from a guy up in NJ. All original, based out of his collection, and was bought new in 1983.

This is like a historical "timeline".

The other day I stopped at a nearby thrift store that supports our local dog rescue. In addition to an excellent set of Ping Eye2 irons, I found and bought a very nice, original Ping Kushin putter. It is 33" with the original grips. From the zip code "85029", it appears this putter was probably made in about 1967. I think it spent most of that time sitting, unused, in a golf bag stashed in a garage corner. They wanted $4 for it, which seems like it was a good deal.

This is the newest addition to my Scotty Cameron Studio Select NP2, Odyssey XG White Hot Rossie and an Odyssey O-Works Red 7S in my modest putter collection.

For those of you that have the super high end Toulons, Scotty’s and Bettinardis, do you feel they were worth the price? I’ve been toying around with the idea of saving up for a “cheaper” circle T from the Gallery

Honest? I can't justify paying $250... $300... for a putter! Not only that, my wife would kick my a$$ if she found out!:LOL:

There's thousands of old putters with plenty of game left in them. Like the statement in my avatar "keep it old school".

Curmudgeon’s are people too. So you be you.

there’s some great new putter technology. That can be fun too. But I’m not selling that to your wife. 😉

I mean to be fair there’s plenty of sub $200 putters that would probably do the trick. Heck I bought one for $90 that I really like. I think it would be cool to have a circle T though. I’ve always viewed the putter as something that will never become obsolete

I bought my Scotty Studio Select NP2 for $200...
