Our other tree. This one is my favorite. We keep it up yearround. Not exactly a Christmas tree but it serves that purpose this time of year. We move in and out little memories from family, friends, and our lives together. The little apple ornament on the left was chewed on by our first puppy together, nearly 30 years ago. There is an ornament from the HS where Julie's dad taught for 40 years. He passed away last year just before Christmas. There is a support wrist band from a little girl fighting brain cancer; we are best friends who share a fight and many interests. There is a small coffee cup from a niece who lived with us. And so much more. If there is something that represents who I am, this is it.
The other thing I like about this tree is that it reminds me of our Christmas trees from our first 5 years together. We couldn't afford a tree, so we would find a downed cottonwood branch about 5-6 feet in length and decorate it. We loved it.
