SIM League: Week 1 Knocking the Winter Rust Off

I holed out three times to save myself, including a 70 foot chip in.



I did decently for my level, considering I missed about all of the fairways...

The shot of the round was putting this one where I had a window to about 3 feet.

I read this wrong in my haste to get set up... It did feel awfully long to hit 240yds to a par-3

It plays almost 7500 yds from the Blues

Update to Foresight settings for Coure d’Alene for tee selection. Noticed the White tees were only playing 5600yds so switched to Blue tees at 6000yds.

I can't hang with you guys either with distance by playing from the white tees; or Trackman, GSPro, Foresight, and Skytrak devices, but I played Bethpage Black today and shot an 80 from the 6200 yd red tees through my poverty MLM2 Pro (which in case you don't know, makes the courses far easier.) With my anemic drives I was only able to hit 3 greens, but I have to say, 10' one-putts make for easy up and downs pitches. I usually set my 1-putts within 4' and my 2-putts within 28'.

This thread makes me want to take the jump and get GSPro and a faster laptop. Maybe by next winter.

Just randomly saw somebody mention this on another forum. I've never even heard of this forum before haha. Totally pumped!! Will try to reserve a bay tomorrow or Saturday morning to squeeze a round in before the deadline!! Thanks for putting this together.

What....kills me for skimming. The GSPro set up we played was 6500 from the Blues on Coure d'Alene. and we couldn't hit driver.

The AZ crew will do better next week and verify the course set up. We thought the GS pro set up was "correct" so didn't question the distance we played from. I've been corrected...it was 6800 yards we played from. But I proved dynamic handicapping worked. I was hitting it 200 yards....200 yards....pitch on for 2 putt bogey on the LONG par 4s.

Hopefully you'll all forgive us and trust that we did not intentionally try to sandbag you all.

I have no clue. we had a laugh at it. And really enjoyed getting together.

@jjjgolf500 hitting on @tanker337 home sim.

this shows the blues as what @MMaynard11 intended. no idea what we did to get it to play 6800. asn that doesn't look possible. THe island green was 168 or so and we had a lot of 440+ par 4s. Maybe we some how had the "wrong" course adaptation?
