They call him "lead poison" on the men's Tour for a reason. It all went bad for his theories when Tiger started doing his thing and showing everybody that there was a better method to swing a golf club. The golf world already had a better method when Nicklaus was in his prime but for some reason it wasn't being taught. The focus on teaching was getting people into the game and creating an industry - corporate America and the dollar controlled the game and it's teaching. Nicklaus and Tiger had similar techniques at the same age with Tiger having the advantage of learning from Jack.
