Went to my local card shop today to turn in our Ohtani/Judge chrome cards for the MVP buyback, and with the proceeds from that we picked up a hobby box of chrome update to try and chase a debut card. Going to rip it open with my son tonight, will post the hits (if any haha) we end up pulling.

That’s exciting!!

Chrome update is a pretty interesting box.
 
I need to sell off some of my numbered/auto/mem cards. I don't really collect anymore but if my son gets into it I may get back into it.

I had my heart set on a finest or cosmic box but they’ve been sold out of both for awhile
 
Did end up getting lucky and pulling 2 autos (normal box only has 1 on average), nothing crazy though but it was fun to rip open some hobby compared to the normal blasters/megas

Years ago I thought about just doing a collection of their autos. This one might kick that off.. maybe mostly non baseball or something.

I snagged two of the Topps Ohtani 50/50 packs when they dropped a couple months ago, finally got delivered today and think I did ok (this card plus 9 base cards).

I think I may have listed this one a bit low as it was bought very quickly once I placed it on ebay haha. Ended up getting about 7x my initial cost of the two packs, but it seems there may have some more juice to squeeze on that sale ha.

I was just checking, not a lot of sales to go off of yet but I'm assuming you got $325 it looks like. Only one close is one HR 10/10 went for $1200. A stolen base /17 went for $315.

I based my price on that 315 sale, and the fact that some in the 500 range were still sitting there. So I may have just been priced right for what the market tolerance was. Considering the fact there are ~50k numbered cards in this set it is probably better to sell early.

Agreed, never know when that market could come down. Making a profit is never a bad thing.
