She is a little beefy…but she doesn’t scare me.

Loved what I listened to about these on the podcast and really want to hit them. More launch isn’t really a need of mine but I’m not going to discount all of the other things they could add. Especially at the top of the bag

Today was my first day on the course with the full set of HLs in the bag. The turf interaction is everything I've ever heard about the V.T. Sole, it gets in and out so smoothly.

Anyone have a size comparison between the two ZXiR models and the Cleveland Zipcore XLs?

The Zipcore's are pretty unique in that they have a crazy long blade length but the top line is not as thick as other GI irons and the offset is pretty moderate.

7i based on how I measure

ZxiR HL
Face length from hosel bend to end of toe 3 1/8"
Sole width 1"
Toe height 2 1/8"

ZxiR
Face 3"
Sole 1"
Toe 2 1/8"

Launcher zipcore XL
Face 3 1/4”
Sole 7/8”
Toe 2 1/8”

Interesting, thanks for the info!

Zipcore XL being longer makes sense, that is easily the longest blade length I've ever seen on an iron. Sole width and top line are not that big though, backed up by your data saying the sole is smaller than both ZXiR models. Truly a unique game improvement iron.

II think this middle column is money...

-If I bend the regular weaker I get my height and descent angle, but keep a little bit of that distance especially in the mid irons.
-I reduce the offset which should help the left miss that I actually had the TGI 80 setup which also gave me the best dispersion
-More bounce is the only wildcard. I'm a sweeper, but ultimately I definitely play softer conditions, so this is always a tough one for me to decide one. Do you play the conditions or do you play your swing?
I'm fascinated to watch your journey. We seem to have pretty similar swings.

Yeah I wanted to love the zipcores. Even got fitted by the local Cleveland rep but the lofts were too strong for me. Wished they made an HL version in that one.

Decided to go for a set of the HLs. Wanted the longer blade length and a bit more offset. Went 7-AW, 1 degree strong, MMT 105s.

Looks like Srixon is backed up on orders by a few weeks but it's not even feasible to go to the range right now here so no worries. Maybe by the time they come it'll be warm enough for a few range sessions.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts once things thaw out.

Little relisten this morning to this as I overthink things.

Mine was definitely particular but I feel really good about it.

I swung the irons again this past Monday but have been on a business trip all week long at our so haven't been able to post much.

The regular rose to the top pretty quickly over the HL for me in my 2nd session with the two. I was starting to see spin at 6500 and height creeping to 110 and I was a little worry about ballooning a bit too much. I got a fitter at GG that actually was pretty decent in helping me figure out which better. The numbers just weren't quite as good. He tested my lie angle and it was pretty clear I should be at 2 upright which my irons are definitely not at right now, so that was a good discovery. The thing I really liked about the HL was I kept coming back to the gapping that was so clear with the HL, so ultimately I landed on bending the Zxir 2 degrees weak.

I didn't get to hit them, but I popped in to my LGS and was just scoping things out. Srixon does an outstanding job hiding the size of the ZXiR (no HL on the rack). Obviously the sole is beefy, as you'd expect, but side by side with the ZXi5 at address it looks shockingly similar to my eye.

I like this setup for you.

I went 2 weak on the 350's on the fitters recommendation because the 250 HL's weren't really doing it for me. Might be a best of both worlds thing for you with the Srixon's. Fun bag - I can't wait for you to get it in hand!

The more and more I look into these irons the more excited I get to use them. They are a beautiful club head as are all the Srixon irons but the ZXiR HL is just confidence inspiring when looking down on them.

Very interested to see how they compare to the ZXi5's & my current gamers

They're bigger irons by design so you can't hide from that, but they did a really good job of putting into an attractive package.

Agree. Like I said before, shes beefy but she dont scare me lol

Cant be scared of a little thickness!

HL's topline is 0.5mm thicker than the ZXi5, the sole width is 2.2 mm wider, and the HL's blade length is 4.4mm longer (measurements for the 7i in the respective sets). There's a difference, but it's not huge. We're talking tiny fractions of an inch.

had a little time after work today so snuck into Golf Galaxy and hit the ZXiR’s & ZXiR HL’s with different shafts just playing around…

SUPER EXCITED about these irons! I am
A touch worried that the ZXiR HL’s are going to be spinny and high now haha. I never thought i would see 7100 spin & 109’ height with my speed haha. This might he a game changer for me

That's awesome. Not a green anywhere that won't hold.

For you guys already playing them, talk to me about strikes low on the face. My miss is thin 99% of the time so I'm curious if the lower sweet spot is paying dividends.

Thanks, Google AI says .355 and Duck AI says .370 Must have missed it on the Srixon site.

Pretty sure they're .355. If I remember correctly PX LZ shafts are only in .355 tip. I cannot wait to see how these irons perform! Srixon has done a great job with their irons!
