Just finished Episode 9.

Oof.

It's so damn good.

A little more action in episode 10

The last 3 episodes were the best of the season. They dragged the last episode on too long though.

I still think my favorite Star Wars series is still Rebels. I would put Mandalorian ahead of Andor as well. Andor is good but man is it a slow burn.

Interesting comment on reddit about how episodes 8/9 were the conclusion to Andor and 10-12 were the prologue to Rogue One, which I can get behind. Great ending, wish we saw more of Saw's lunacy.

Now to rewatch Rogue One.

I just did that :p

Still the best modern Star Wars movie by far. Funny how Tarkin's face becomes even more claymation each time I watch that movie.
Kinda interesting how Andor is really a main-supporting character in Rogue One, which now after watching the series feels weird.

One episode left for me. Love that the best Star Wars media since the OG trilogy can be watched before it and lead right into it, making each thing that comes after it even cooler.

I watched Rogue One right after finishing Andor yesterday as well.

And I had the same thought on Tarkin (and Leia). It didn't really bother me when it was first released, but I definitely noticed the CGI this time around.

No matter how many times I see it, Vader's massacre of the RFTs is awesome.

My thinking during Season 2 of Andor was that it was strange that there was no mention of Vader.
Lots of talk about the emperor, but nothing to do with his shadowy enforcer - at one or two points in the season, it felt like the ISB was sort of trying to prove its viability as the Empire's enforcement wing, so it would have been neat just to throw in one line around like "We need to solve this before the Emperor puts Vader on it" type of thing.

That massacre was a late add to the movie I think and it's so necessary. Such a great way to cap off the movie

Completely agree - his power at the opening of Episode 4 was an effective way to show him off in 1977, but how watching him just continue his onslaught if you watch the two back-to-back really changes things.

I’m not sure how many people actually knew about Vader. I’m not talking about Inquisitors or higher ranking officers like Tarkin or Kreenic but regular everyday peons. Sith aren’t exactly known for being out in the public and Vader’s main objective is probably hunting down surviving Jedi or hanging out in his castle on Mustafar. Similarly the viewers know Palpatine is a Sith but to everyone else he was just a senator who became the emperor.

The RFTs he slaughtered certainly didn’t know of him, that red saber lit up and they were all like WTF is this ****?

I just finished episode 8 of the season 2. These are the strong vibes:

Finished, now I want to watch Rogue One again as well. I gotta say, even though the final episode was a little underwhelming, the show as a whole is incredible.

I would love to see Tony Gilroy do something this smart and well crafted that involves Jedi somehow. I can see how involving one in this show would take away from what they were trying to accomplish though, so no criticism there.

Tried watching this from season 1. Like the gritty ‘Rogue One’ feel of it.However, was a little too slow for my liking

Finished last night. Final episode was a slight letdown but not bad. Overall still great. Dovetails right into Rogue One.

Also…. (Not a spoiler)

After episode 4 every episode is better than the last but I can see a lot of people giving up before then.

I think this is spot on. I’m glad to stuck to it.

On the final couple episodes finally, then have to re watch rogue one.

Had to research the timeline and people to really remember everything
