So I've been meaning to ask this for awhile, and figured the iron giveaway would be a good excuse. I've seen similar conversations occasionally, but never a dedicated one. Hope I haven't missed it.
If you were playing a buddy with the same handicap as you, and you were using old clubs with old hickory shafts, how many strokes would you demand in order to be willing to bet money? Also, I'm assuming if allowed one modern club everyone would choose driver? I'd take my 64* assuming I'd hit a lot fewer greens, so I'd want my favourite club for the best part of my game, inside 85yds.
PS you're allowed to hit the range beforehand with the hickory sticks.
