My family belongs to a country club in Northwest Peoria, AZ called Blackstone Country Club. http://blackstonecountryclub.com/ Been members here for about 5.5yrs and love being up there. Service is always top-notch and the course is NEVER in bad condition. Some of the best hybrid-bermuda greens I've ever seen!

That's a real nice looking club, Cookie. Lots a variety in distance. Texas courses look so different than anything I've ever played.

Thanks man! For $150 unlimited golf and range it is a great deal for me. Plus free GHIN service.

I have been playing whites with the family but it is a tad too short for me at times since I don't have any issues getting 250 off the tee. With the dry ground running so hard in this drought, I have GPS'ed a few at 280-290 but that will not be the norm for me. Need to go ahead and step back to the blues which will play about 6500. Funny thing is Saturday from the white, there are still par 3's of 177, 200, and 165 so even though it is less than 6,000 from whites there are still some challenging holes that are offset by some pretty short par 4's.

You could mix it up, but that would probably mess with the HCP thing.

It definitely would mess with the HC. I have no issues playing at 6500 and would actually stand to benefit as it would put some longer clubs in my hands that I do not get to hit as much.

Quail Hollow in McComb MS owned by the state in conjunction with a state park. It's located right across the road. It's a very nice course for a muni course. It stays really busy on the weekends with people from New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Jackson MS. But since it's right across the road I just play during the week. They used to have a 9 hole par 3 if you were a MS resident you could play for free on Thursday but they closed it.

My home course for school is The Highlands, it was voted one of Golf Weeks "Top 10 Courses To Play: Illinois". Pretty new course, in a couple of years, this baby is gonna be one sweet course.

I have 2 home courses. The Legend at Arrowhead and The 500 Club (opened by Tom Sneva).

The 500 club has no houses on it. I thought I was in the middle of a Looney Tunes cartoon earlier this year. I saw a road runner on the front nine and a coyote on the back nine.

I play at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, CT. Lyman has two 18-hole courses with some really nice views of the area. It's not the closest to me but it's definitely the best one within a 15 minute drive. Can't really assess the difficulty other than to say it's longer and less challenging than the Yale University course which I played once over the summer. [ One word: Wow! ]

Lyman has a card you can get for a very reasonable price which gives unlimited range balls and no greens fees within two hours of sunrise and sunset which is perfect for me to get in nine holes after work, for example. I have three kids so free time blocks big enough to play 18 are pretty rare. I was there 50+ times between April and October working on my game. [ My goal for 2012: to be able to consistently shoot in the mid-40's for 9 holes. ]

[ Edit: Yes, the website says before sunset only but when I signed up they gave me the availability schedule which covered mornings as well as evenings. ]

My home course http://www.lapurisimagolf.com/golf-course/course-information.

Been a member there for 3 years and love it. They've had US open qualifying there the last few years and Q school qualifying in the past. I'm lucky to have it 20 minutes from my house. I need to plan a THP get together there but prepare to be humbled by it, it's a beast.

My home course is The Profile Club in Franconia, NH (no website, unfortunately). It's an old (1897), semi-private 9-hole course (with two sets of tees so your back 9 plays quite differently from your front, at least off the tee) with some beautiful views of Franconia Notch, home of Cannon Mountain. Lots of woods lining fairways, and some fairly small greens, but it's a pretty short course. We've got a terrific pro running things, and mid-week in the summer, when we're fully private, I can bang out 36 holes in 4.5 hours playing solo. Great little spot and a wonderful place to practice. Watch out for moose and bears!

I recently joined a private course in the Brandon area. It's a nice course with some great elevation for this part of Florida. Being a member has been great. Pace of play is almost never an issue, and the course is in great shape. The website is awful, almost no pictures of the course, its a shame.

I live on Lake Arbor Golf Course http://www.lakearborgolf.com/. Its not real long but it has some of the best greens in Denver.

I bought a player card this year for the Gold Course at Hyland Hills http://www.golfhylandhills.com/goldcourse.html. I have 15 rounds to play this year so it will be my "home course" for most of the time. It was on the Golf Digest Top 100 Courses at one time before the golf boom. Hosted a Womens Public Link Championship in 1990. It is long and tough with challenging greens.

Here's a view from number 11 looking back to the tee (a long ways down the hill)lol.

Some of the best views from a golf course in the Denver area.
