I don't think I hit that fairway once in 3 tries from the forward tees.
 
Let's do some live stream practice. Out on my home course for 4 or 5 holes tonight. This is hole 14. A short but narrow par 5. A 270 yard fade is a deadly shot off the tee here. Unfortunately my fade is 230.

Hole 15. A longish straitish par 4. Tight on the right.

Hole 17. Really tough long par 3. Once ranked the most difficult par 3 in Louisville by a local sportscaster.

Daggone medium length putts. This one was about 7'. Gave it a little extra. Rolls over the high side edge and stops 3" past the hole 😒

Hole 18. Medium length blind tee shot hole. Little fade around that closest tree is the shot. I

Not so good on the finish. Hit my drive under a tree, didn't get 2nd close, then on a 70 yard 3rd I hit it 80 off the back of this tiny green. Tough finish. Now time to practice a few things before dark.

Sitting here watching the Ryder Cup and the great team match play makes me really think back to the Morgan Cups I got to play in. As someone who had never played Match Play in these kind of formats, these rounds (even the losses) are huge memories even years later.

I wish you all the best as you finish up your preparation and get ready to join the teammates you feel like you already have known forever. TPC Las Vegas is and incredibly fun place, and their staff treats THP amazingly well.

The Ryder Cup definitely has my competitive spirit going. Going to be channeling my inner Justin Thomas out there!
 
@hedley_lamarr08 and I made the drive to meet up to play. Neither played very well after the long day in the car and office, but was great to meet him in person and talk a little strategy! I can’t wait to get out there.

I have the standard head in 10.5*. The stock shaft was too long so I switched to a different shaft and adjusted the loft and weights to something more I like to see ball flight wise.

I also changed to a shorter shaft with an oversized grip

Miss you buddy. And one of my most memorable THP competition rounds was with you at an MC!
 
A few more rounds and one more lesson to tune up. Getting close now!
 
Ugg, can the next 12 days just be done already? I am soooo looking forward to hanging out with everyone in Vegas! 😎
