LIVE UPDATE THREAD The 2024 Titleist Experience Featuring GT

What is the most surprising thing from the woods so far?
The separation between the center strikes and the toe strikes. There is not a big yardage gap. My driver weight is in the H2 position and I was finding the toe a bit, but saw similar distances even when the CG is moved closer to the heel. Knowing a miss hit wont fly off to either side as much is wonderful.

Has the Titleist team enjoyed the ThP experience?
They are the proof that Titleist does indeed want you to play your best golf. Not only do they want true feedback, but all 3 helped all of us out with swing tips, positioning, and course management. They are the best!

After a day of golf, what GT product was your favorite? FW driver?
I know I answered during the event, but after more swings, I can say driver is my favorite. Based on my past decades of golf, the driver has been such a problem that seeing the GT3 fly well and stay on target is a breath of fresh air. Finally! I need to keep up my work on drills to keep the swing in check, but to see this club help me get to the goal of a better tee game is huge.

Just wanted to give a bit of love to all the guys who made the trip.

What an absolutely fantastic crew and I can’t wait to see how GT transforms your game.

Sending us love on YOUR birthday?

Legend doesn't begin to cover it.

Back on the course today! Nice 7 wood off the first tee to stay short of that stream.

I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread - it has been a nightmare f*ing week at work - but as a previous Titleist Experience guy, I just wanted to drop in here and give the boys major kudos for absolutely killing the updates and enjoying every moment out there with each other and the awesome Titleist crew. I am really excited to read all the reviews from the event and to read all the reviews over the coming months of the GT line. (Although I sense great risk to my financial well being from reading too many of those reviews :ROFLMAO: )

Round at home today. Short range session before. The GT3 and I are going to become really good friends. Little pull down left side off of number 1. Second shot required a nice little cut 4 wood. Needed started straight then cut back in middle of fairway. The GT 16.5 handled it flawlessly. I can see the 16.5 becoming a tee club on some par 4s or those pesky 230 yard par 4s.

Have been a member at this current course for nearly 2 years. Drives today were the longest since becoming a member.

Fun fact that I'm not sure anyone has mentioned yet (I'm still working back thru). There actually is a hidden creek at Hidden Creek. It's way off to the left of hole 10. Had @JB not pointed it out during our final round, I'm not sure I ever would've noticed it.
Hey mark this is Steve your caddie from the 1st day at the creek. The “hidden creek” is way back behind the 8th/9th hole about a 1/4 mile into the woods. The pond on 10 is the irrigation pond. I helped stock it with the old superintendent back in 2001. Monster bass live in there and we encourage the guests to give it a try. Hope you enjoyed your stay.

I just got back from a quick round at a local 9-hole course this afternoon. It's a short course -- 3,238 yards from the back tees, which I played -- but definitely pretty tight in some spots.

I have some driver and fairway wood updates, but I'm going to post those over in their corresponding threads. (Short version: Crushing driver. Freaking love it. 7 wood remains unreal.) But I wanted to share a comment one of the guys I was randomly paired up with made after one really good drive early on: "Have you ever gotten that sound before?"

From that moment on, the two random dudes I was paired with today kept commenting on how great the driver sounded. It was really cool, and confidence-boosting for sure.

welcome to THP! Really enjoyed the round you caddied for us. Good nugget of info for any future Hidden Creek events

Nothing better than have something that you are confident with. Standing on the tee knowing you are going to have a shot into the green rocks!

Knowing what the groups were I imagine I know who this was. But I'm choosing to believe it was Sugar Bees for the extra lolz

I would like to piggy back off of this and say for me hitting the fairway is not over rated and that’s what it did for me. Everyone knows that 7 wood for me is $

Is the dormie sauce a hot sauce?
It is a hot sauce. Not too hot and a bit of pepper and garlic. Burrito and omelet topping for sure!

Talking to @Pops and @dAS0 about the greens here … I think it’s easy to underestimate, for guys who don’t travel and play on different kinds of grass a lot, the difficulty of reading greens you’re not used to seeing.

I’ve missed a lot of 4, 5, 6 footers out here — not really because of poor strokes, but because of misreads, either expecting break that isn’t there or playing too little.

Round three on the course this morning, so I’m hoping I can tighten that up a little bit today.
This was a big part to scoring the way I did; a lot of putts never fell, even ones inside of 5 feet. Very tough to read and getting a fraction off your line meant a miss

Steve! So great to see you hopping on here. And thanks for the intel!

All the native around the course is really cool. Probably not easy to hit out of though.
Some spots were more forgiving than others. On average, it was not bad, but the short grass is preferred :)

Steve!!!

Awesome to see you here! Thanks for a very fun round and the great reads.

Great. Now I’m hungry again

Man, that’s a beautiful driver head! I put one in the bag a couple of weeks ago. One thing that does stand out is the GLARE! Did any of you experience the glare effect while playing? I’ve had a few instances where the sun hit the club head just right and shot a shiny glare into my eyes. Titleist is one of the few glossy finished driver heads on the market. I wonder if they have considered a matte finish?
I can see a glare issue if the sun is at the exact angle to reflect in your eyes, but I personally prefer the gloss black look. It reads well at address against the grass to me.
