EXPERIENCE The 2025 Grandaddy of em All with Callaway Golf

Past Grandaddy participants, what is your advice for after the trip is over?
What would make a truly successful teammate, forum member, Grandaddy participant?
Do your job. Listen to what is allowed to be posted and not, and follow it.
Put in the time to get actual thoughts and data for reviews. Post updates.
Be committed to the process, play what you are reviewing. Give it all a fair shot.
Don’t ghost the forum. Be honest in your reviews.

You're going to be filled to the brim with the spirit of the Grandaddy. Manifest it on the forums, talk about what you experienced, share the love.

Read back through the entire live thread (you're going to miss a LOT of it while you're there), answer any questions you missed, share your comments on things that happened, etc.

Review your equipment, answer questions, be present in the threads. Be honest and thorough in your reviews. Don't be the guy who comes home with all your free s**t and ghosts the forum - show the appropriate respect and gratitude to THP, your teammates and Callaway by honoring your commitment.

Get ready to follow along and support future Grandaddy teams. You're part of the G fam now, be there for them like they were there for you. You'll never look at the Grandaddy the same after you've been a part of it. Everything you think it is - it's all that and a lot more.

Be here to answer any questions on equipment or the experience in general.

Really give the equipment a good workout and pop in to give updates. It's fun to see how the equipment works out for you throughout the season.

Over time you're going to have little memories pop in to your head that happened throughout the week and I would encourage you to share them. Not only will it help bring people closer to the event, but it's great when you go back and read through the thread to have those memories pop up.

Oh, and tell everyone you know about it! I still tell people about my experience and it spurs such great conversation and brings back so many good memories. Just last week I was telling a new customer about it and he was blown away! I think half the time people don't believe me.

I keep catching myself telling everyone about it already lol I played in a members only Ryder cup style event at my course this weekend and I think I told all of my playing partners about the Grandaddy and THP lol
It’s hard not to be really excited about something as cool as this especially to people that have no clue something like this even exists.

Grinding the new swing drills. About one month to hammer the swing changes in. Let's go!

One month from today, you’ll start seeing pics of airport beers, the team boarding airplanes, and everyone arriving at the hotel. To celebrate being one month away from the Grandaddy of em All, I’m breaking in a new Callaway hat! LET’S GO!

It's hard for us to believe here on THP and we see it happen every year, so just imagine how hard it is for other people to believe!

It's unbelievable because it's too good to be true. All of it.

Man we are so close.

I’m hoping to get out atleast one more time before November 14th and will then try to atleast find range time, if not nine during the second half of November.

Honestly tough question. I don’t know if I’ve been a good forum member or not since. I’ve not played a ton of golf this summer or fall because of life. Haven’t been as active on the forum as I want to be. Just try and be active. Life happens. And you don’t have to breathe this place every day. But support when and where you can.

Teammate just keep doing what you all are doing. I cherish the friends I made last year. Not a day goes by where we don’t talk. I can’t tell those guys how many hard days I’ve had where I see our chat has 44 messages and I get a good laugh and brighten my day.

Grandaddy participant. I honestly don’t know this one. I don’t feel like I deserve to have experienced the Grandaddy still to this day. I know I’m grateful for it and what it brought me. It’s obviously a cool golf experience for any golf nut. But holy moly to get the access to such an amazing set of people is so cool. What you get to experience before you even get to golf is one of the coolest couple days of my life. It’s just amazing to experience. The callaway hq, ECPC,the bus ride and AL’s is more than anyone gets to experience. Then you get to play golf at the hideaway against Callaway. I’ll cherish it for the rest of my life.

It was a Grandaddy weekend here in Houston. Perfect weather to be out, bringing back all the memories and feels

Your Grandaddy experience doesn’t end when you’re back home. Be ready to jump in the gear threads with your knowledge bombs and feedback….

An author I know used to say “Feedback is the coin of the realm”, it’s appropriate to think how you can answer questions, provide your thoughts and reviews throughout the year.

Don’t be a guy that just disappears or posts a few times only. And don’t neglect the soft goods and other stuff you get - it’s all worth posting your thoughts!

In one month we are competing.

One name that seems to be forgotten in the lineup that we could see (THIS IS JUST SPECULATION) is the Big Bertha name. Seems like it has been a few years. A bit pumped and avoiding a workout on this end.

Would enjoy that roll out. My dad plays an older Big Bertha, so the line always makes me think of him.

My fav iron set ever were the '08 BB's.

There have been a lot of thoughtful responses here so I'll just echo something I've read...

It's definitely a marathon with small sprints. You'll have the initial huge amount of buzz in January when the new gear releases. It'll be chaotic to keep up with the questions, but make sure you've prepared your first couple of posts about the equipment.

But remember that you've got another 11 or so months to talk about the gear. Don't go hot and heavy and burn out to never be heard from again. That's how the Grandaddy doesn't return....

For me I have one simple answer "Be Present".

I know life gets in the way, the holidays are around the corner and no one is asking anyone to ignore family after they have sacrificed so much for you to enjoy a trip of a lifetime.

Find your balance and be present. As a teammate you will naturally develop bonds and chat a ton, but ask yourself if any of those conversations can be had on the forum and share your experiences with the community.

As a forum member be present. Your job is just beginning with the review and the overall feedback that is going to be asked of you. Don't worry about anyone else or their style. Find your groove and kill it.

As a Grandaddy Participant, be present while you are in California and let that carry over once you are home. While you are out there you might want to check in but it might come at the expense of missing out or being present with your team, your hosts and the overall experience. Let notifications pile up, maybe take a look at the end of the day, but be present, take notes, and ask questions.

All of this right here. Nailed it.

Your captain will help guide you, but if there is an embargo date, be ready with your opening posts for the appropriate review threads. Since you will have taken great notes during while you are in California, you will have those notes along with your experiences to get things started.

But who guides me?

In all seriousness, leading the guys through the following year is an honor I am very much looking forward to. I know it won't always be easy, and I know its in something I in no way could ever think is something I deserve, but we will be ready and we will follow thru on our responsibilities.

It is an absolute must that we go above and beyond

It would be an absolute disservice/massive form of disrespect to Callaway and the forum not to. Looking forward to not only Cap holding us accountable but also holding each other accountable through 2026 and beyond.

It’s not personal, it’s professional courtesy to uphold our end. A billion reasons to do so.
