EXPERIENCE The 2025 Morgan Cup with Cobra Puma Golf

Given the way it appeared his match went, I don't know that he needed the pops...
No @jdtox played really well. Definitely going to need my A game and my pops, but it’s gonna be hella fun trying to take him down!

Cobra homer here. I road my full bag of Cobras all the way to the Sr. Match Play Championship at La Costa on the North Course… which is about to host the NCAA Championships and is a beast!!!

All the clubs are spectacular but the DS-Adapt MAX K and 3DP Tours are something extra special!

This is as close to a win ad that I will ever get to… :)

Congrats, sir!

Lot's of looks at Vic in the lead up to the MC. I'm excited to get to see it so many times. Fuels the fire.
And you have local course knowledge.

Well he’ll be jdgivingpops in the singles match. A different side of the lord.
I feel like we’ve seen that movie before.
Rest of Team Paradise will bring it home this time. The anchor (me) will not be there to weigh this team down.

And you have local course knowledge.
You mean nightmares and scar tissue. Not sure if that’s actually an advantage. Haha.

That’s cute….

The clubs were really good. They definitely bailed me out on more than one occasion.
The clubs are just tools, the user has to get what they can out of them and you did it pretty well!

Much appreciated, but I also appreciate told them let me all the just the grooves and still pull out a putter on a par three

Congrats Yags!!! 🔥💪🏼

I am embarrassed I was so far behind on this thread. Been a bit mentally struggling and overwhelmed...but that's not a story for here. Seeing VN again has me hyped for this and all you guys will experience.

As a guy that is new to the fraternity of Morgan Cup THPers. I’d love to hear in your words and others who have been some of the things that stand out to you and say “Yep I’m being treated like a tour player”.

Sure, I’ve read and followed all the threads since I’ve been here and I know from an outsider perspective what all this event entails. But I’d love to hear a few tidbits from the guys who’ve been in the room.

Lots of good stuff said already. I definitely felt it in the lead up to ordering clubs. The conversations with Jose, the guidance given, and options discussed was far beyond what is "normal" and definitely made me feel like a tour player. Then before our practice round, Jose took the time to help each of us with our swings, answer questions, and helped with a chipping lesson. Far beyond what was expected. The early access info to what was to come, and Q and A session was incredible. Like, I never imagined being able to see the things I did and get questions answered direct from folks from the company directly. Still mindblowing when I think about all of it. I'd give damn near anything to experience it again.

That is awesome. Congrats sir! Well done.

How are my Team Hackers doing? How's the game coming along? Getting the game dialed in? Ready to take down Team Paradise again

Got my thursday league round back into the 30's the other night without hitting a single fairway as I was fighting a pull off the tee. Putting is really good at the moment, wedges are fairly solid, and irons are coming around. I'm not too worried about the tee shots because most of them were plenty playable, just didn't end in the fairway. Small tweaks and a bit of rust to still knock off as I haven't been able to get back to the range much, but I know myself and the rest of the '25 hackers squad will be ready.

Driver swing is back which is nice. Approach play is getting there, short game has been good this year, need to get putting there but I have a plan and I'm working it.

Aiming to come into this event at a 15 handicap (down from 20) and at a much slimmer fighting weight.

That’s great goals! Keep grinding and you will do fine, for sure

Glad to hear that both of your games are coming around. As you both get closer to the event, I would concentrate solely on the short game. Putting, chipping, pitching .... the scoring areas are where your going to save shots & quite possibly the chance at repeat. Especially if you've got a few pops coming your way. Your opponent thinks your out of the hole, but before he knows it, you've hit one close to save par/net birdie. Shrinks the hole up & his confidence. @TWright let me know if you want some help with the flop shot ... I'll help you get that shot in your arsenal. ;)

Irons are still in a “getting to know each other” space. Have my ol reliable shafts going in them this week and I think that will change things.

Driver, woods, and hybrids are the best they’ve ever been the magic of the FF33 adapter is real and the heads themselves are a very good match for me.

I’m seeing a lot of success with the wedges. I’ve had two chip ins now and I’m getting it close. Which is great because putter…. Oh boy we aren’t getting along yet. We are constantly working on our relationship though and fighting hard to work things out.

Keep up the grind. I'm sure it will come around at the right time (y)

I learned some things about Victoria National this week. The most important thing I learned from the experiences is I will be packing my Puma rain gear. 🤣

A couple of really great follows for this newcomer to experiences. Learned a ton about the course and how to handle the experience sharing. A couple more to go but will continue to learn when/where I can. Can't wait to see that place (and a bunch of you) in person
