Many people see the AVX as a cheaper ProV1, but it is lower spin and launch than the V1 and the X is a high launch, high spin ball. So you have completely different balls there.

If you go back a couple pages in the thread, all the guys did some awesome writeups on their fittings and first impressions!I’m assuming you have but I’ll ask anyway. Have you guys had the new T series in hand already or will you get them upon arrival?
New project for the next few days!If you go back a couple pages in the thread, all the guys did some awesome writeups on their fittings and first impressions!
I’d honestly just go back to page 1 though because between ArborLinks, the T-Series hotness, and smatterings of my humble and polite/sarcastic Canadian humor, it warrants it.
Yes I understand that, and hindsight is 20/20. But you have to realize the Prov1x was only fitted based off my 7i where we want lots of spin. Many people see the AVX as a cheaper ProV1, but it is lower spin and launch than the V1 and the X is a high launch, high spin ball. I get way too much spin with my Driver, and Garrett said it makes sense that I would use the AVX if I want less spin off the tee with my driver and I’m fine to play either.
Overtime I’ll get a feel for what works best.
It will get better with time, as I learn to control my driver. Keeping it in play is priority for me, AVX has done good at that. That is interesting.
Too bad you are not allowed to change balls between shots!
It will be fun to see what you think during the event and when we play in a few weeks!
I am a player who needs the high launch and spin for all shots. So you having different needs is foreign to me.
AVX is a slept on ball. Really great if you want a lower spinning ball that doesn't feel like a rock. Many people see the AVX as a cheaper ProV1, but it is lower spin and launch than the V1 and the X is a high launch, high spin ball. So you have completely different balls there.
I’ve always wondered if AVX would be treated different if it got like a Pro V1 variation…like left dash but obviously something differentAVX is a slept on ball. Really great if you want a lower spinning ball that doesn't feel like a rock.
PRAV1X is the best I could come up with.I’ve always wondered if AVX would be treated different if it got like a Pro V1 variation…like left dash but obviously something different
Simply just a name change I mean not to property of the ball
You just know the lunatic fringe would go feral for like a ProV1 double dotPRAV1X is the best I could come up with.

Agreed. If you need a low launch, low spin ball, it is a great option that also won't break the bank since it is a lower price point (not Members Mark or Kirkland level).AVX is a slept on ball. Really great if you want a lower spinning ball that doesn't feel like a rock.
This is much better. Why not just ProAVX
Feel free to take the credit when you give the idea to JT and JD.This is much better.
Team building before the gathering?Great call tonight with a few of the guys going on the trip! This is going to be a fun group and experience. Just a few more days!!

Grab a KitKat from the comfort station if they have one and present it to JD while presenting the idea.“Listen JT/JD, have I got a pitch for you. This is a stone cold winner.”

I agree. I think the AVX is not thought about enough. But, it’s a softer, lower spinning, lower launching ball compared to the V1 and V1x. I have played it recently but I’m more in need of spin and higher launch.AVX is a slept on ball. Really great if you want a lower spinning ball that doesn't feel like a rock.

I am looking forward to seeing if any new cereal contenders have moved up the rankings on JT’s list.
I was fit into and will be playing a blended set of 5-6 T250 and 7-PW T150 and a 48° Vokey SM10 with Modus 105SParticipants, maybe you have posted here but maybe not. With the event fast approaching its a great time to remind everyone following... What setups were you fit to and will be playing at ArborLinks?
I hit both the V1 and V1x as we narrowed down my iron fitting. My order said V1 but I asked my fitter and he recommended V1x for some extra launch and spin. I’ll play whatever they want me to try but I bought a couple boxes of high number V1x’s to bring with me.Were you guys fit to a ProV ball also during fitting? If not what Titleist ball will you be playing?
