EXPERIENCE The 2026 Cobra Classic

I've done that at GG, but haven’t been able to pull it off at Windmill where they have carts like this. 1/4 of the pro shop is nothing but fitting heads and shafts.
But they'll put together anything you want, which you know. I'd also like a crack at the drawers there.

I can add that for sure. I was among the first on this thread to post my test pictures of the new driver , so hopefully you understand the level of enthusiasm I have (they didn't have anything else at the time to test and I was short on time). Iteration 2.0:

Preparations to date:
Ensured that I am a 2026 Albatross Member: affirmative
Spoke with supreme boss of all things (aka wonderful wife): affirmative
Checked with client load and making time: affirmative
I'm not broken or damaged and can swing: affirmative
Will be able to play before event: affirmative, many times
Have procured necessary funds for travel and fees: affirmative
What will happen next:
Now, I need to throw my name in the hat Feb. 11
I didn't want to be presumptuous but since @Lord Tox asked for these items:
I will be posting a picture of myself with my new gear aka proof of life photo.
After chosen, when I receive the equipment and after the event, I will continue to test and respond to questions and provide insight into the equipment.
Love the excitement! Just to be clear the photo in reference is part of the signup process per the first post.

Looks and feels great! Love the sound coming off of it.

Yep - there is a very important step to this one that I hope all will be prepared for (spoiler alert - some won't). So freaking excited to see this group finish out!

Wish I could try to join you! Excited to see who gets the call!

Definitely will be a hot ticket. It would be disappointing to miss out cause you skimmed.

Counting down the days…

Prop bet for over/under percentage?

Any event at Ballyhack is perfect for me as I could drive to it, and maybe stop on the way up or back or both and play with more THPers, maybe even head back to the area I lived in before moving to SC. They just announced (even though it has been open for about 2 weeks) that the local area just got a spanking new GG and it's only about 20 or so miles from me - so I will make a foray into that area several times in the coming days/weeks to demo the goodies.

I could easily make this an extended trip, with my wife dropping off and picking up - so many options.

I would really love the opportunity to dive back into some Cobra/Puma (I have been headed down the clothing rabbit hole as well), gear and participate in a THP team event. The follows since I joined have just been remarkable.

Building bags based on wants and Cobra site fittings, will head to the GG next week to see what they really look like and feel like. Enjoying the putter and wedge section of the Cobra site this is fun - sort of maddening - as in going mad not getting mad, but still fun. And a not bad exercise in general.

Went and hit the 3DP tour irons last night. They had the other two models as well. The sole on the X was surprisingly large. The Tour and Pro are very traditional looking.

The demo bays have Tour Response balls. Wife was close by taking the kids to a bouncy house event so I only got to hit around 20 shots with the tour head before meeting up with them.

The tour feels really good. It definitely felt like it had a larger sweet spot than that “shape” or size head normally does. It’s a real rocket launcher but I’m wondering if the lower spin balls contributed to that. Carry was 180-185ish with a height around 105-110. Hit some stinkers too and they were “only” in the 170s. $-taper 130 shaft. Anyhoo, beautiful look and I really liked the performance as well.

So far I have been able to test the drivers but our local shop does not have any of the 3D printed irons and was told they won’t be getting in. The X and LS driver are neck and neck, looked a lot better in person than I anticipated

Also, the mini looks awesome and will most likely pick one up to see if it can knock my BRNR copper out of the bag

I’ve never spent much time on Cobra site looking at putters. Time always goes towards irons and drivers. If I had to pick today the Enzo looks really good.

Can't wait for sign-ups! My body may go missing if I'm selected, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

It is officially signup week
