EXPERIENCE The 2026 Cobra Classic

sorry I’m new to this forum. I play cobra driver , fairway woods , hybrids and wedges. For 799 you get a great golf course and a full bag of cobra clubs that are yours? Are the clubs just to test during the golf tournament?
No sir! They are to test, review, provide feed back and answer questions. You will receive the equipment before the event, play them at the event and they are yours to keep!
It’s crazy isn’t it?

Also the first post in this thread lays out a lot of details of the experience. Any other questions ask away.

No, if selected the clubs are yours to keep. Your job is to review the clubs here on the forum and provide feedback to everyone based on your experiences with them.

The first piece of the puzzle is to join the Albatross Club which you can read about here then follow the rules for entry when the time is right and see if you are chosen, all the details for this experience are in the first post of this thread. We also have quite a few experiences throughout the year

What an awesome event. The news that the 3dp irons are on the table is awesome. I understand and like the requirement to hit Cobra equipment before the sign up. Unfortunately that will take me out of signing up for the event this year. I am having my hip replaced this Thursday and am in all day meetings until then. In honor of the event I will definitely go hit the new Cobra stuff when back hitting balls in late April.

Good luck to everyone signing up. I can’t wait to follow people hitting the clubs, selecting their bags and the event.

It is so hard not to get fired up every time I see this event pop up in the latest posts.

I assume all of you want to come to Ballyhack and hang out with a Snake or a Goat or whatever.

Well, yes...

So cool…LFG!!! I think my usual fitter is the only spot in town listed with 3DP available when I checked last year, but I’d definitely get a fitting from them if I got into this. still love the practice round for this.

Cobra and ballyhac, going to be a hell of a time!

Sounds like good time or a GOAT time

I got a whole plan in progress. I started working out last month, already dropped some weight to look good in my Puma gear. Have my swing evaluation at GOLFTEC this week to get my game in order. Been working on my writing and participation on the site, and signups are on the 11th and I have a tentative schedule for a fitting on Feb 17th. Picked up a DJI mic for some unboxing clips.

Also trying to drop my HDCP to 2.5 to play in the Virginia Senior US Open Qualifier so all the work is a win win no matter what happens. Lots of good events to follow along in 2026.

Toby, joining the Albatross Club doesn’t cost much, a chunk of the money goes to charity and is a great investment in the community. If you are going to consider hanging around here for a while it is definitely worth it.

It's really interesting! Per Jose, you have MOI which is on one plane or axis. So you have vertical, horizontal and then toe/heal.

POI (product of inertia) looks at the overall balance or stability of the club. I could be totally off here, but you could have high MOI in one area, but the resulting effect is a worse or higher POI which ultimately means a club that you can't hit straight.

Kind of like the Ping 10k so many folks complain that it just wanted to go right.

This will be a deep dive on everything from 3D Printing of Clubs to POI. You will be in the room with the experts and the conversation will go deep.

June 7th – Golf and Celebration

This is a lot to take in and there are even a few more dates to consider before signing up.

Signup Date and Info

February 11th – Event Signup on the THP Forum
March 1st – Deadline for participants to turn in their full club order to @Lord Tox

Signup for this event is going to be rather unique, and while it will still involve sending in an email on the appropriate date, you will have something additional to include, which is you must be able to hit new Cobra equipment prior to signing up and will need to include an image of you with the new gear in your entry. We want hopeful participants to be able to test out some of the new lineup before submitting entry and will have to share that information.

For those that are unaware of the property, Ballyhack Golf Club is a private property located outside of Roanoke, VA that features full stay and play in wonderful cottages along the course. Once on property, you will not have to leave for anything.

The 2026 Cobra Classic will feature two people from Cobra Golf along with myself and @Lord Tox and Team Crown and Team Snake will each have 6 players. Participants will not know what team they are on, until arrival to Ballyhack, adding to the intrigue and keeping this one all about the new gear.

ALL SKILL LEVELS are welcome and we mean that with everything we stand for.

Qualifying
THP Events are held throughout the year and are incredibly unique ways to share a round or weekend with THPers and are filled with equipment, prizes and more. Your ticket to enter these events is the 2026 Albatross Club membership which goes to help a wonderful charity benefitting children. For more information on that or to sign up and help support this great cause, click here.

You must have the ability to review and discuss your new gear on the THP Forum post event. Our goal is for full peer to peer sharing of information and thoughts on the new clubs that you are being given and the knowledge that will be learned. Of course, at the conclusion of this event, everything you receive while there is yours to keep.

How to Signup
Signup will be February 11th on the THP Forum

Everything about this event is epic. As if being treated like a Cobra tour pro was not enough. The chance to do it at Ballyhack! I am so in!

The goats are just an added bonus

Good luck with the surgery!

I'm waiting on confirmation but I think this will be the same weekend as a QC tournament. So I'll likely just be enjoying my time as a spectator here also!

I just looked and Cobra had upped their webpage for finding a local to you fitting location.

Heck yeah. This is great info. I was just telling my father in law he needs to try the 3DPX irons. I think those will be his next set.

The fact that you can select the current line 3DP clubs is absolutely insane. Like beyond insane. It’s such a great opportunity.

I love all of this. I cannot wait to see who gets selected and read about their experiences with the clubs. Buy are the participants in for a real treat. At the Morgan Cup we got to get some info regarding the new line and I can’t think of a better place to put it to the test than Ballyhack based on what I saw and heard.

The fact that 3dp irons are included and how good the team concept sounds might make me sign up. Even though June is my busiest time of the year
