The Garage Thread

Gotcha. Not sure those would work in the north with winter snow and slush. There's no way to keep them clean every day šŸ˜
True, here in Texas, I sweep a lot , i don't believe the wind has quite blowing for 3 weeks now

Hereā€™s our 3 car. I painted the wall this past week. Waiting for the race deck Fatherā€™s Day sale to do the matching flooring. Have surround sound via Sonos and an fan for Florida heat. Also trying to figure out better lighting as when I detail cars itā€™s just too dark. 8925D6EF-0614-4866-A0E0-9D3676C8E247.jpeg320BBDD4-9140-4957-9FD8-BF718DB91EE4.jpeg56E7C652-6DB8-4610-B00C-1B295C267E56.jpegFFA94248-6084-4D36-96F8-A74059E7A852.jpeg

The 3 day process of the garage coating began today. They prepped the floor and reapaired a couple small cracks today and laid down a 2 part epoxy primer. Tomorrow is a polyaspartic coat with some color chips and Wednesday is a 2nd coat of poly, more chips, followed by a clear coat. The garage is a 3 car(22ā€™x31ā€™) and the cost was $2,800 or a little over $4 per square foot.

What base color/chips are you going with?

Itā€™s a grey, tan and white mix to match the house. My wife picked it as is the case with all decorating decisions, lol.

An update to the new coating of my garage floor. It was fun to watch the process the last 3 days. Monday they prepped and used an epoxy primer, Tuesday was a different epoxy for the build coat and acrylic paint flakes, today was two coats of polyurea clear coat. The floor looks so much different and Iā€™m super pleased with the end result.

What balls do you need to fill your collection? I have a few......

thanks buddy. I'm only missing a few random muni courses in Wisconsin, so just need to stop by them when I get to travel again for work

I have 3 more shelves to go that match, but itā€™s the perfect solution to my car detailing stuff.

Mine is a bit messy, and usually has some project going.

I currently have my sim setup in the middle bay, but the plan is for a 2 post here shortly. I'm sick of rolling around on the floor, getting older sucks. lol.

Getting closer to finishing my garage build. Got the walls finished, tire rack re-hung and cabinets installed. Next up is installing the slat walls and under cabinet lighting as well as the floor epoxy, which should be here within a week. Then just need to find a good stretch of weather to install it. (sorry about the messy garage, this was right after the cabinets were installed)

Where did you pick up those shelves JB? (Please have an online store)
Honestly not sure. I think amazon actually. I can't find the link however for some reason. I know Adams Polishes and Griots Garage have their own versions, but they are a bit more expensive.

With those cars....I'd be nervous to have a sim in there. Great collection friend.

Garage in the house we're moving into in a few weeks has a/c vents for the garage. Sooooo I have decided to make the garage my office/man cave and will be doing a sim in there. Can't wait to get the project going after we move in a few weeks.

Still a work in progress but wanted to start yesterday. Was my Fatherā€™s Day Gift. My parents and brother have the same. Hopefully pics of the finished product fthis week. Next thing is to put some better lighting in there for detailing. 51ABB4C6-F6E6-4CCE-A19C-46AFDF865967.jpegAA61ADC5-3182-4438-A9E9-1897C7F6BFF6.jpeg

Curious what product you got and how you like it. With understanding that you just got it!

Added a cabinet setup in my garage and created the best little cabinet I have ever seen.

itā€™s called Swisstrax. Itā€™s a snap together tile setup. My brother and my parents have both done it and looks amazing even after 3 years of northeast WX. I choose this over the other brand as this is larger tiles (15ā€) and these flow tiles are flat on top. Thereā€™s a detailed I watch online and he too installed these. He got on his skateboard and rode all over the floor which is something the others donā€™t see to be able to do as they are not flat. Iā€™m about 90% done but the rest are all the cuts against the one side wall and back. But think it looks amazing. Neighbors are already impressed. Now need new lighting so bad. Thatā€™s the next project. 5A06E0C8-BA10-4CA9-B330-ED62F29F677F.jpegFE7550DA-BAB6-4A36-B4EA-BC60426FCE02.jpeg3BD322F8-378E-45A5-88D9-B2F35D10AC4A.jpegDB59C037-2C98-4E8E-B301-9B45F94FC0F1.jpeg

Finally got ny shed delivered, now I just need to put it together... then it's garage clean out time!
20210629_174739.jpg

Even just getting all the lawn care stuff into the shed will be a huge help, then ill move the workbench down and expand tools, and have room for golf paraphernalia

Mine is a disaster! I can fit a car in, I have a fridge with cold beer and wine and my fishing poles and golf clubs are stacked in the corner! What a chaotic mess!
