The Gauntlet Holes at Victoria National

14 is going to jack me up. I already know it.
 
I'm amazed by this stretch every time I see it...16 from 208 yards is downright nasty...and every tee shot just feels insanely hard in this stretch

IMO 7 is the best and 11 was the toughest (for me). 16 is very uncomfortable no doubt.
 
On 15 the way the bunker meets the lake... I've never seen that before. No place to bail that doesn't bring the trouble in on the next shot.

The 16 is hope the wind don't blow and play it high to hit your number

17 sadly looks like its a little easier after seeing hole 18. Just have to bail left and hope. Really tough way to diminish a scorecard :)
 
Should I admit that I didn’t enter into any events at Victoria National because it scares me that much? Especially the gauntlet…
 
Those holes look brutal. Would love to take my chances on them some day.

It’s a beast. In my singles match had a pop and was just praying for a bogey. 5i to the fat part of the fairway. 7i layup in the fairway right at the bottom of the hill short of the green (video or pictures don’t do this hill justice. It’s big). So far so good. Still made an 8.

And neither did the Korn Ferry when the played there and yet still ranked as some of the toughest holes on that tour consistently.

I would lose a lot of balls on hole 15 for sure! All holes look fun and brutal at the same time
 
THPers gonna be walking funny for a while after this stretch.
 
That's a brutal stretch. 16 has to be the scariest though. Literally nowhere to miss on that hole.

What an amazing group of finishing holes right there. Hope to tee it up there sometime just to see how many balls it takes me to get thru it :eek:
 
Those are beautiful but tough holes! That 16th is awesome.

Beautifully scary holes - scenery abound with danger everywhere. Aptly named stretch for sure.
 
Yikes! That pin placement in the back on #16 :eek: And seemingly every tee shot cannot be missed to the right. Perfect for my miss! Hahaha! Better bring a couple dozen :ROFLMAO:
 
Best course I have played so far, also the toughest, hands down.
 
Yikes. That is a scary set of finishing holes.
 
What a crazy beautiful and gnarly set of holes. Seems like everything slopes towards trouble giving just the tiniest of safe places to land. Going to be fun to see THPers try to navigate this stretch.
