The Official 2021 NFL Thread

Is anyone else surprised that Watson hasn't been put on the Commissioners exempt list?
AB was put on it with far less accusations and far less women coming out with esentially the same story.
I just think its a bad look for the NFL and the Texans.

If anyone thinks Jerry Jones is going to let the Bills move to Austin they are smoking something!!
This is nothing more than a negotiating tactic. Does anyone really think the Bills would leave Buffalo?

Yea, I don’t buy the Bills moving to Austin. Just trying to force the local hand to give money for a new stadium.

I have no idea how much revenue a NFL team generates a city, but my initial thought is it’s not worth the cost of a billion dollar stadium. Especially, for an area like Buffalo.

I would think for a city like Buffalo it would be worth it. What other draws to the city are there? It's buffalo!

Lol Buffalo is a very nice City as is Western New York. And the Bills do generate a significant amount of revenue for the area and the value of the team to the area of not only Western New York but Rochester, Ontario Canada, parts of Pennsylvania and other areas as far as the good times is immeasurable. And I am really going to enjoy the tide turning with the Bills dominating the AFC East much like they did in the Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith , Thurman Thomas era. The Patriots had an incredible run. Its tough replacing a Hall of Fame quarterback, takes a couple years

Yeah the Bills generate a ton of revenue. You get people coming across the border for games even. It amazes me how quick the media blew this up and everyone screamed "THE SKY IS FALLING". Shows how much scar tissue there is around here!

The Exemption List is only for the regular season games and not pre-season.
He can go on it still before week 1 games.
If you are on it from the previous year, then you can still be on it during the pre-season.

NFC East trying to one-up its terrible previous season 😆

The Bills have maybe 2 years. I think the Patriots will be back in the thick of the Afc east pretty quick. The Defense could be really good with all the Covid sitouts back.
Bills are def tops but the gap will close with Mac Jones. I expect the team to look more like 2001-2005 with a heavy run emphasis and defense with a premium on field position.

It really makes me sick to my stomach that I might have to watch Cam Newton again. But I will hold out hope Mac Jones wins the job out of camp.

It will be interesting. With free agency and the salary cap things can change quickly. Brandon Beane is an excellent general manager and the organization is solid. Nothing is certain as to the future but i think the Bills are in the best shape they have been in since the Bill Polian era.

Trey Lance is looking good and Jimmy G could be on the move out of SF.
Houston is def going to need a QB and the 49ers might be willing to move off their demand for a #1 for Jimmy G.

Has anyone seen a video of the giants team brawl???
not good when your starting QB ends up on the bottom of the pile.

Local sports radio show yesterday had a segment with one of the Giants' beat reporters. He touched upon the brawl and the fact that Jones got involved. Very dumb of Jones to get involved. You don't want the starting QB injured in a pre-season brawl with members of his own team,

Why would Hou need a QB? Take Watson out, they have Tyrod and a rookie. They know they are going nowhere this year so why spend the little draft capital on an injury plagued QB? O'brien isn't there anymore to make a stupid trade. Jimmy G was linked with a porn star a while back so Easterby won't be interested. :ROFLMAO:

Ohhhhh Ok sure sure I would much rather have Tyrod Taylor who has played what 10 games total over Jimmy G who went on 1 date like 4 years ago but has taken his team to the SB.
I am sure all the Houston Texans are much better Moral people like Deshaun Watson who by you comments should be cut by Easterby.
The NFL isn't a Church choir and there are plenty of shitbags in the NFL so in the grand scheme of things Jimmy G going on a date with a much older pornstar isn't the worst thing to happen Lately and would be a upgrade over TT.

I agree with you but the Texans are not going to bring in another QB that costs them draft picks. For a team that is going to win like 1 game this year, if that, there is no reason to shop for a qb right now. They signed 50+ players to 1-2 yr deals they are in full tank/rebuild mode.

As a Cleveland Browns fan, who lost his team to Baltimore, though we fought like Hell to get it back, do NOT ignore the "hidden hand" of the NFL in all of this! When they want a new "NFL specification" stadium built, they will pull out all the stops! They want things the way that they want it! There's a large body of thought around here that the deal was all worked out!

The NFL was facing resistance from several cities about new stadiums for NFL teams, including Cleveland. Although Cleveland City Council really screwed Art Modell, that's a whole other story. But one thing was thought to be certain. The Browns would never leave Cleveland! Unthinkable! But here's the twist!

The Browns move to Baltimore, but after a huge outcry from the fans, the colors and history remain in Cleveland, even with no team! Then, huzzah! A savior is found in the name of Al Lerner! He gets an "expansion" franchise that is able to inherit all of that, along with a brand new "NFL spec" stadium!

The Browns come back, and all is right with the world! And guess what, all those cities that thought they might lose their NFL franchises knuckled under! This is the power of big business, and when you have weight, you throw it around to get your way!

I have no doubt this is the NFL and Goodell pushing this. I don't like it but I want it to get done.

Seeing Myles Garrett interviewed reminds me of how much I believe personally he shouldn’t be allowed in the NFL. I know some disagree, and Browns fans will defend him, but that specific item should be zero tolerance.

What exactly are you referring to?

I don't give a crap about league 5! I want to know what you were referring to in that prior post!

Good lord. Try and take it down a notch...Ever since you came on here and accused us of blasting you with ads with political messages before realizing and being told by countless members that it was a google ad based on your own searching, the posts are over the top.

Our THP Fantasy Football leagues are a blast every year and it seemed rather appropriate to post it in the NFL thread.

As to Myles Garrett, if you don't know why some might struggle with that player then I am not sure an explanation is really needed.

LFG!!!
