Since @Muchmore is asleep at the wheel and the Stanley Cup ended yesterday, it was time to start this one.

We will once again be doing a Stanley Cup bracket contest for Albatross Club Members as well.

Sharks get Walman, draft pick from busy Wings

After acquiring a second-round pick from the Predators earlier in the day, the Red Wings sent the pick and Jake Walman to the Sharks for future considerations.

Wings were heavy on defense and have two ready to move up from the AHL. In addition they needed cap space because they have Seider and Raymond are up for contract renewals that’ll hit pretty hard. They have some other additions they’d like to make including possibly goaltender. Finally Jake was injured the last month plus of the season.
 
I’m waiting for the schedule to be released so I can plan trips to hopefully see the Lightning in Tampa.

Planning on trips in October and February for certain.
 
Red Wing Pavel Datsyuk made the HOF on the first ballot. Well deserved.
 
Going to be a busy week, I think. Draft on Friday/Saturday as we lead into free agency on July 1st.

If we could find a way to root for Kaner, Stammer will be welcomed with open arms.

Also, I always rooted for TB because of Stevie assembling the team.

Teams are calling about him but Ducks aren’t shopping him. Verbeek is doing his job and taking calls. Nothing more to it. If they trade him, it’s going to be a disaster of a return coming off his worst season so far. This is media being media.
 
I was asleep at the wheel starting this one. Being in the road for work sucks the ability to keep up, right out the window.

New Ducks logo is out tomorrow though!!

@JB got your ear to the ground on whats going to happen with Stammer? I look daily, but see nothing... Bolts have to make something happen with him, right?

I have nothing.
Word was he and Heddy were meeting with GM last week and I really thought that meant both were getting extension. But the rumors are still out there that Stammer wants 4-5 years. Tampa allegedly wants 2. So we shall see.
 
I want to see Sid lift lord Stanley’s cup one more time but that ship has probably sailed

Feels like nothing will happen until after the Draft this weekend anyways.

I know it's been reported that he and Heddy are pretty much a package deal at this point. Hopefully they do something, letting him go somewhere else would be absurd.
