2 from line 1, 1 from line 2 and a D all scratched tonight which makes sense after getting 2 points yesterday. This was a wash game. Surprised they didn’t play JJ.

Heading to Ducks/Sens this evening. Got great seats behind the Ducks bench for my son’s first game. Made a sign for Dostal and gonna get there early!
Jackets gave up a quick one but have answered with 2 to get the lead

Rangers are a compete mess all over the team. This is far beyond just a down of an up/down season. They are a real mess. Team Dfense is a nightmare. Stars not producing, Igor allowing softies. Mika fell off a cliff....trouba is done...fox overrated (always was)...young guys like kakko , Miller never materialized. They just overpaid Laf. Panarin never was a real team carrier superstar for the cap hit. They are in big trouble and by the end of month they could very well be outside looking in. The only recent win was barely beating a terrible Habs team only due to powerplays (including a 5v3). They are in a real bad way.

Chytil is a star but nobody realizes it yet. Kakko plays a great two way game but can’t score at least not yet. Cuylle is going to be a monster. Schneider is legit. Jones could be almost as good as Fox but with more speed. Berard looks like a solid player in his small sample size so far. Edstrom is improving quickly. And Perrault will probably be on the roster once BC finishes their season. True that Mika and Trocheck have been awful and Kreider invisible. But the team is still hanging on to a decent record with minimal contributions from the vets. Which was true (other than Panarin) during their hot start as well.
The optimist in me says move Lindgren and Smith right now for whatever you can get. Give their minutes to Mancini and Berard. Limit Trouba’s ice time as much as possible. And things could turn around very quickly.

well...the things you mention cant be argued. But I just dont see it with this core anymore. Chytl is unfortunately an injury waiting to happen every time he steps on ice and it isnt only his head situation but he has a long resume of injuries other than that in his short career. Just cant stay healthy long enough. Just one of those injury prone players that any sport has. So its a "big" "if" with him.
Team Dfense is so bad. The book on the NYR is out...they cant deal with being squeezed/pressured and they never really did and is what ultimately sent them home in last three post seasons. Teams are now in regular season play, playing them more aggressively in terms of taking away enough space cause they know most of them just dont handle it well. Even on the power play up a man teams are playing a more aggressive kill and even though up aman they struggle with the pressured space. They just arent all that good enough. Too easily get hemmed in the Dzone and cant escape. Desperation toss outs and toss ups just to be able to change lines barely before the opponents comes right back in. Then on the other side not fast enough to sustain forecheck and also get back to defend. I appreciate your optimism but they are in trouble. We will see by years end and I can only hope I eat my words here.
Caps lose to the lowly Sharks. All because Wilson takes a double minor with two minutes left in the game. So they win in OT with the 4 on 3 PP
