Haha a made up tournament to prepare for the Olympics
Ok.

It was still basically the same 2 teams playing each other. Try telling those players they cared less about those games.

Technically the Olympics are a made up tournament too in the most general sense of why it exists.

It isnt recognized by the IIHF. NHL did it to get the major national programs prepared. Think of it as a spring training

The players still took it as seriously so they didn’t care if it was IIHF or not. That’s my point.

The NHL is independent of the IIHF as well. It’s a professional league, not an international tournament so the Stanley Cup doesn’t fit in that criteria either.

Bolts Leafs tonight and I have to imagine the Bolts are exhausted. Let’s go!

Not sure yet.
Guentzel skipped the festivities last night, reluctantly because of the game today, and the rest all arrived back yesterday. I wouldnt be surprised if they Coop sat some tonight, but Gabby will have the practice update from skate around in a few hours I am sure.

I think it was only one for their team, right?
I believe the Bolts had the most in the NHL in the Olympics

Leafs had a couple Swedes as well. But only Matthews went to the medal game.

Panthers had the most overall at 10. Bolts and Avs were tied for second I believe with 8. I still think it was really cool every single NHL team had a player get as far as the quarter finals.

I read this today: the team expects to have the services of forward Brayden Point as well as defensemen Emil Lilleberg and Charle-Edouard D’Astous. Getting healthier off the break.

Pretty sure Tampa had 11 players selected.

Weird that it's on TNT/TruTv/HBO Max.

I would assume it would have been the Wednesday game of the week, fresh off the Olympics.

We'll see if the Blue Jackets held it together through the break and can continue their win streak tomorrow.

No. He suffered a lower body injury and Bennett came in.
Ok. For some reason I thought he was the injury replacement for Point but I guess I remembered that wrong.

Amazing moment in NJ with Hughes on the mic and grabbing teammate from Buffalo before the game
