The Official 2025 NFL Thread

Whew. I can't watch this team and deal with this thread. :ROFLMAO:

Defense was elite.

Stupid flea flicker, no need for that nonsense
CJ has to know when the play is over and not put the ball in danger.
Have to clean up the snaps. I have been to playoff games in Foxboro, they get loud there.
Nico out is bad but not a dagger.
LFG

Stroud will be facing a much stouter defense next weekend, could be an interesting game.

So is Drake Maye. Both of them are going to have a long afternoon if either of them play like they did this weekend.

Watched the 1H... was kind of shocked when I saw final score this morning. Texans D no joke.

Fun stat

I think that concussion is messing with him. He is fully recovered, but he is hesitant to run and I wonder if it's because he is shying away from contact.

Is it also messing with his ability to throw a ball near his WRs?

I feel like the AFC games are going to be pretty low scoring next week. 3 of the teams have pretty stellar defenses, and the Bills do not, but i don't know that i trust the Broncos to score

Could be like 9-6, 10-7 games lol

Maybe. I just know yesterday when he had time the wr got the ball in stride. His issue right now, and needs to be fixed in the offseason, is learning to throw receivers open versus waiting for them to run open.

I would be happy right now to lean on the run game and not make him a pocket passer right now. This defense is too good to try and "fix" him right now. Move the pocket, get him on some simple boot legs and throws to the boundary, lean on the run and the exploit the defense over the top a few times to keep them honest.

Glad I dont have to be the person that has to make that massive contract decision that looms.

Yeah that one will be tough given the other pieces you need to keep together defensively. I know you are on the side that you need to give the QB room to grow and not be quick to make a change, but we are in a window right now, barring injuries, where this defense can take the team to multiple Super Bowls, and you only need a Trent Dilfer to manage the offense.

I am absolutely.
With that said, he shows regression, not improvement and I have a few feelings why, but it is what it is.
He throws a great ball and an accurate ball, but so can most QBs at this level.

They win that game going away with someone else at QB last night in my opinion.

I was screaming at my TV to put in Davis Mills. That should tell you how I feel about CJ right now.

And I agree, any other QB and last night is over in the first half.

Aren't the Chargers the 5th rated Defense in the league?

Also @echico

No matter what happens from here on out, last night was one for Bum and Renfro.

Bills have (maybe had) #1 ranked pass defense.

All in all, I think the high score for the AFC maybe 17-14.

I laughed way too hard at this

The script wants you to stay tuned the entire game it seems.

I came across this graphic and it is mind blowing how the Texans are playing defensively, without being exotic

No fancy schemes means the only thing the defenders have to think about is hitting someone. :ROFLMAO:

Has Aaron Rodgers always sounds this way? He sounds like he's trying to an accent or something.
