I regret not bidding him farewell today with "everyone is replaceable".
We had a supervisor whose lead-in was "I'm not here to make friends".
<shrug> So be it.
We had the ability to make a supervisor's life pretty miserable and create a lot of work for them. And we were pretty good at it when we put our minds to it.
I 1000% don't care if they want to be friends.
I want them to answer emails, make decisions, understand what we do..... but none of them do.
Sprinkler head went off in my area in December. They still haven't made a decision on how the cleanup is going to take place.
There were few things that pissed me off more than a supervisor who wouldn't make a decision.
I'm not coming to you for a "by your leave" - I'm a big boy and I can make my own decisions, I'm coming to you either because I genuinely can't find the answer myself, or it's a decision above my pay grade and I'm getting the monkey off my back. Either way, you need to make a decision, and the ones who wouldn't do it drove me nuts.
When I promoted to supervisor, it was one thing I would never do. If a decision needed to be made, I made it - and if it was wrong I stood up and took the heat for it. But I would never not make a decision.
@Canadan I have an idea for Off Course. These guys may not even be available but it would be really interesting to hear from the adjustable hosel designers from some place like Callaway or Cobra. How its designed and how long it took etc. So much curiousity and misunderstanding about the adapters I think it could be really informative
I see my area was covered too but we didn't lose power, which is unusual.
We were out for 13 hours. My wife said she saw plenty of homes with lights on her drive home from work, so it seems like it was more spotty than the map showed
