Unless our girl has a huge turnaround it sounds like we'll be putting her down tomorrow afternoon. She's had cancer for awhile now, has been getting skinny and weaker and she's not really bouncing back from whatever happened to her last weekend. It's been a great 11 years but man will this suck.

Kev, So sorry to hear this..

If the worst happens, yes it will suck, but the fact it sucks shows you’ve given that dog 11 years of love and happiness!!!! That’s a great thing when there are so many pets out there that don’t get the attention they deserve.
It really is one of mother natures cruelest jokes that dogs can give so much unconditional love but are taken away far too quickly.

Someone is going to fall down the stairs. They play fight on every surface.

My girl now has a complete wardrobe.

She is not liking the snoods.

Our sweet Ecko has a pillow in her bed now. She's 16.5 years now and she is really showing it. She's had issues with right eye, and we took her to an eye specialist yesterday. She has mineral corneal degeneration with a corneal ulcer. Quite uncomfortable for her. We are treating with medicine now. If that doesn't help, she will need rather expensive eye surgery or just removal of the eye.

Very sorry.

It's a bittersweet week for our family. Two days ago we had to put our 11 year old Golden retriever down. That was easily one of the toughest days of my life.

But, if there's such a thing as good timing it was this. Today we brought our new family member home. This is little guy is named Wally. It was a rough week earlier but he's brought a whole lot of smiles to is already.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Chewy.com. I have always had great customer service with them, and they continued that just now. I got a few sweaters for Arrow and one of them was too big so I contacted them about a return. They refunded my money immediately and asked that I donate the sweater to a shelter rather than ask for it back. I really appreciate the way they do business.

Agreed! I have yet to be disappointed with their delivery or customer service!

Know exactly what you are going thru.

Our baby just came home after an eye procedure on Thursday. We are trying to save her eye, but she is now completely blind and it hurts so bad watching her walk into things. Tried a halo, but she wanted no part of that.

That's pretty great of them.

Becoming friends??? We call the other cat Kitty Overlord because he has established himself as the alpha, but Remus appears to be making efforts to befriend his puppy sisters.
