The THP Invitational Golf Tournaments

I don't even know what Stableford is Forum Leader Dean but I like your thoughts.

That the plus points system. 5 for and eagle, 3 for a birdie, 0 for a par, -3 for a bogey, so and so forth. Reno Lake Tahoe open is played this way.

I am pretty sure that I posted my excitement about this somewhere.....I am really excited about this!!

This is very very cool!

I'm hoping more of a stroke play type of event or even a stableford. We already have The Morgan Cup for match play format.

Stableford events are good fun and work well for players of all levels since blowout holes don't hurt you too much.

Wow! I just saw this. VERY COOL!

This seems like another event I can beat Dean at

No way. Who would carry the team?

You are referring to some modified Stableford system maybe?

Stableford scoring (Rule 32-1b) is:
For each hole played, 0 points for more than 1 over par or no score on a hole, 1 point for bogie, 2 for par, 3 for birdie, 4 for eagle, 5 for albatross, and 6 for 4 under par on a hole. Player with highest total of points wins.

This system benefits players who may have one or two blow-up holes per round but also can make birdies (or better.)

PS. Rep Added!

I have large coattails, feel free to hop on.

Brainstorming session FTW...

Raleigh/ Durham would be a great site for a tournament.
