Got this one from a Texas Tech forum I'm on. It was a thread about volunteer fire departments and I though it was funny.

It happened out in west Texas. A new oil well blew out, caught fire and flames were shootin high in the sky. They called in Red Adair to put it out. His fee was 2.5 million $$$. Ole Red said, "Not much we can do right now. Too much pressure and we're gonna have to let it burn for awhile." All of a sudden coming down the hill with siren's wailing, horns blowin, bells ringin, firemen yellin and doin 70 miles an hour was the fire truck from the Notrees VFD and right down into the middle of that inferno it went. In 5 seconds the fire was out. Everybody was clappin and yellin praises and the head oil guy runs up to the Fire Chief who's flickin ashes off his coat and says, "We was gonna pay Red Adair 2.5 million $$$ to put that fire out and he couldn't do it and yall did so yall get the money. What are you gonna do with it?" The Chief flicks another ash off his coat and says, "Wellll the first thing we're gonna do is get the brakes on that phookin fire truck fixed."

Im not sure if i should laugh or cry. Yesterday i gave away a 60” flat screen with wall mount. Its a bit heavier than the usual usual led tv. We loaded it up and i told the guy he would need to get 4 3” lag bolts to anchor it to the wall studs. Again, its heavy, just not plasma screen heavy. He replied he wont need lags, hes got toggle bolts. i repeated my advice. He reassured me itll be fine. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤔
