THP SIM League - Interest?

Can we take a vote?
 
I can get a round in this evening. What time are you thinking on knowing settings @MMaynard11 ? I can mimic GSPro and post those for others to follow.
 
I second the early announcement of the course. I have my sim fired up now.

Would be fun to post a quick forward tee score for you all to obliterate.

(I can’t play sim golf tomorrow)

We are playing all clubs as fair game, correct?

It will be two separate tournaments each week. One Trackman and one Foresight. You are more than welcome to participate in both. Based on number of folks we get playing we can develop a flight system after three rounds.
 
Courses needed an update so waiting for those to finish…have to leave at 4pm for dinner so might not get the tournament thread up until later. Each weekly tournament will run a week so everyone who participates should be able to get a round posted.

I only have Trackman courses on my ST+. It will be fun.

If there are others with limited sim space…I’ll suggest a “No Driver” flight.

I have created a clubhouse on Simulator Golf Tour for GSPRO users. Create a free account on SGT (do not buy anything), and get me your profile name, and I can add you to the clubhouse. I will add all the tournaments here to the clubhouse. It will keep stats, and HCPs, and ensure everyone is the same settings. I have mulligans turned off. If there is an issue, I can review it and take off or add strokes as the admin of the clubhouse.

The autoputt on gspro fyi is 8' for one putts, 20' circle for 2 putts, and the rest of the green is a 3 putt.

Not sure which tees we are playing, but whites are 6728 yards, red is 6237.

Is there a different thread for this league?

Weekly threads will be created for SIM tournaments. That’s awesome you can control the settings and will help those using GSPRO platform.
 
I have a Full Swing simulator to use at my work. Is that an option for this as well?

As long as Full Swing has the courses as settings can be set up similar.

One of the Trackman people could create a Trackman league, too. Keeps everybody on the same settings, tracks scores, etc.

So I was thinking about a couple of things with the SIM League and wanted to see what the group thought

1. Should we do handicap’s? Handicap would be based off three SIM rounds (tournament). The average of those three rounds minus 1. So for example my three rounds would be (79+83+92)/3 =84.667 - 1=83.667 Based of par 72 would be 84-72 =12-1 =11 HDCP.

2. If we get enough people to participate we could have 3 flights. (+ HDCP - 7) = Baller Flight (7-15) Hacker Flight (15+) Here for the Fun Flight

Let me know!

I would be up for it, but we need committed people first. I think there are a couple of things that may be preventing people from jumping in.

I have a couple of other suggestions:
1) I think the two courses per week is problematic for those that have to rent sim time. Maybe consider doing one course per week only?

2) make this a one time play event each week, with no replays out there. Post up screenshot of your settings in the forum post for that week, then go at it. Post up the scorecard and you are done. No PMs needed, etc. I think we need to be able to trust people. If someone posts settings then doesn't post a score for 4+ hours later, we know they are up to something.

Biggest thing is more people are needed. We gotta get folks committed here.

I am ok with rolling with #2 it should be a single play of a course. Not sure we can ever police that for those that have a home SIM so it’s all trust.

#1 the reason behind two courses as not all courses are on Trackman / Foresight / SkyTrak+. People don’t have to play each tournament.

ah yeah, i forgot about the different tiers of courses there.
