I don't get why everyone is going PowerCore when the Ventus Blue has best grouping and distance?

I'd tell you Ventus Blue

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say none of these three are your best fit.

I voted before i saw everything. LoL. I would think TPT with that dispersion.

Really? I disagree based on what's written. If I was looking at just the chart I might agree but the phrases "explored more of the face" and "swung the slowest" both give me pause.
He didn't tell us what order he swing them. Maybe fatigue factored in with SS. Now he had best carry, total, and dispersion while not squaring it up. When he does square it up should have even more pop.

1. TPT
2. Ventus Blue
3. Powercore

What I'm hearing you say is I need to go ahead and buy a Diamana BB

The TPT looks strong. The Ventus looks left bias. The Powercore doesn't look struck as well yet is more than holding up. Drop the loft on the Powercore a degree and give it a try
It's interesting your saying the VB looks left bias. Based on the dispersion chart it's holding closest to the center line while PowerCore has the biggest left misses.

His best fit isn’t in contention yet

I know it is common to pick the “5” best but I also think you need to look at your misses with each shaft.

In reality, you don’t get to pick your best shot off the tee so if you had a coupe of big hooks with a particular shaft then that to me sends out warning signals. I want a shaft that is effortless, delivers the club face square consistently and delivers solid consistency and the result should be overall good distance.

Anyway, that’s my 2 cents based on experience of picking a shaft that had some gremlins which under pressure would rear their ugly head. I want to avoid the misses and have something I can trust will always deliver solid, consistent performance.

I'm not talking about misses. I'm talking about consistency. If you're willing to deal with the ball always going left just be willing to play it and set up for it then it works.

Yup I personally only care about the dispersion height and width. Can always adjust aim.

Its all about how one wants to play it. If it works best then game it. A lot of options for that reason

I wouldn't ever want to play a shaft that just has worse dispersion width lol. That's like saying you choose to play the opposite of decade golf but the numbers say 99% of people would be better off.

To each their own though.

I'm ok with left to right more than I am front to back with back being the killer. I will challenge forced carries whenever given a realistic chance

Fair analysis, I agree with this, front to back is a sign of ball speed consistency.

strike more than anything on my part. Thats why I say play what ya see good results with and feel comfortable

I can realistically play any of the 3.

Typically on the golf course it goes like this:
  • TPT is the most consistent but typically the shortest. It's weird it wasn't in the sim.
  • Ventus Blue is typically easier to turn over than TPT but I can start to push it right when I don't time it well.
  • Powercore feels good to swing it has a nice high ball flight. It's fun to use. It's got the biggest upside for distance but the biggest misses in both directions.

I guess you have to ask yourself "how big are the misses" and "can I live with that"

I'm plugging in TPT for my round today. I'm not sure what this says about the test other than feeling a level of confidence that I'll be able to hit some good shots with it this afternoon.

I am on the opposite side of this equation. I would rather have left to right dispersion be better and give up the front to back. My course doesn’t have a ton of forced carries so having something be a few yards shorter on carry that rolls out is ok.
