Titleist GTS Fairway Woods – GTS2, GTS3

I showed a couple pictures a few posts up. Still look pretty new. Way better than dark faces I've had in the past. In fact, the sole of the 5w is the only place I've seen anywhere at all
Looks very clean. I wish I was as good of a ball striker as you

If this works I will simply direct you to the post here https://www.thehackersparadise.com/...ods-–-gts2-gts3.8982569/page-16#post-14302149 a few before your question. I had a wood to almost green with no real chance on the right, saved par with a good chip - all after a terrible drive. Then same day and side a 4 wood on a par 5 that got me to about 50 yards - a better chip and it would have been birdie.

Honorable mention has to be the 7 wood on an awfully short (temp green) par 4 that got me to 4ft and I made the putt for 'eagle'.

Love the clubs.

No damage to the crowns - and the faces look perfectly ok to me, photos of them later.

The GTS3 7w has been doing work, really good work, especially after the shaft change. Can’t get over how well I’m hitting it overall.

And the sound is so freaking good to boot.

7W was a weapon again today. It’s honestly shockingly long off the tee for me.
That is good to hear and I really like my 7 wood also but its never been a tee club for me and never will be except on a 260 yard drivable par 4 which I play a few times per year, otherwise its usage is restricted to approaches into long par 5s because playing in the wind as I often do the 2 hybrid and 4 irons are just way more productive clubs to hit off the tee.

Remind me what shaft you threw into this one. This combo replaced your Cobra mega 7 wood.

1st shot yesterday was a stone cold swing. GTS2 21* on a 177 Par 3. Boom, hit the green 15 ft under the pin only to be cut by our side n for the green ball.

I’m going to tinker with the settings a bit and move the heavier weight on both to the toe. The GTS3 is hooky in my hands set on C2.

Thought it might be fun to give a quick rundown of the best shots that you have hit with the new FW's.

For me three stand out.

The first was shortly after the Titleist Experience and I had about 240 yards to the pin on a par 5 with water short. Previously it would have been a lay up and wedge but I felt confident with the 7w and landed one on the green that stopped pretty well and hung on the fringe.

Second was another 7w approach into a par 5 that was a slight pull but faded back to the pin and left me only 8ft from about 250 yards out. This is another where previous I probably would have hit a 6i and just try to run it up short of the green.

Third was off the tee with the 7w on a 270 yard par 4. It plays a little down hill and you just need a carry of about 230-240 to get it to run up to and maybe on the green. I hit a nice little draw with good height that was heading straight towards the pin.

As you can see I've hit the 7w quite a bit more than the 5w. Part of that is that the driver has been so good that I haven't needed to hit the 5w to stay in play. The other is that I don't have many shots at my course that require me to hit a FW but the few times 5w typically was too much. I did have the chance to hit it on Monday though and hit it beautifully right down the middle of the fairway. One thing I've noticed is that my good shots have been when I really commit and focus (imagine that) while also making sure to hit down on the ball. I've been able to launch these higher with more consistency than I have other FW's in the past.

All i can say is i love these FW's

1. 5W 215 out with like a 190 yard carry over water. was 10 yards short of the green but got up and down for a birdie. In the past i would never think og going for the green in 2 but i have such confidence in this club, i justed pulled the club and went for it.

2. I would say this happened a few times. Had really bad drives leaving me around 200 yards for my second shot on Par 4's . I pulled the 7w and on the green for a stress free par.

3. My favorite shot was pulled a 3w 230 yards from the green on par 5. I crushed on the green for east birdie. I did buy this club because of how much success i have had with my 5W and 7W.

I'm just confident with these clubs. I have never played a 7w before and it so good. These higher lofted FW woods just are so good for me and so much better then my hybrids. Then get in the air, they air land softly and they are long. The Titleist GTS line is just so good/. I highly recommend these clubs and also getting fit by a Titleist fitter

Not sure how many I had today, but every time I grabbed the 4 or 7 wood today, the result was superb - meaning the club performed as expected and the results were as expected. Distance, flight even on slight mishits were both just superb.

I admit as it was super hot - sweat dripping off the shorts (no, really) by the 15th, I did have one really poor shot with the 4 - topped it I was in the groove (so I had thought), of hit, and wait for the group in front of me, but they slowed even more and I had too much time to think.

As to teeing them - I got to tee both today, the 4 wood is maybe 1/3" or less - just longer than where the 'cup' starts on the tee, and the 7 wood, even lower - as if were hovering above the grass.

I add some photos later today, but both heads look really good to me, I can compare them to the GT1 hybrid that has the black face but it has not hit as many balls yet.

Thanks for this info!

I’d never played a 7w either and likewise I’ve found it to be a really great club. It’s allowed me reach par 5’s by going over trees or clearing water when I previously would have laid up.

I played yesterday, and these metal woods are just so good.

The 3-wood has become an absolute weapon off the tee for me. I've gotten to the point where, on virtually any par 4 under 400 yards, I automatically pull this club because it simply performs. I'm also becoming much more comfortable hitting it off the deck, which has added another level of confidence to my game.

My favorite shot yesterday came with my 7-wood off the tee. It was a 383-yard downhill par 4 with trees lining the left side. The 7-wood launches so easily, and because I have so much confidence in the club, I'm willing to take a more aggressive line. I aimed over the trees, and the ball soared exactly where I wanted it to. It took a huge bounce when it landed and rolled all the way down the hill, leaving me with just 100 yards into the green.

Whether it's off the tee or from the fairway, the 7-wood has become my favorite club in the bag. It gives me confidence on every swing, and that's hard to put a price on.

I want to get a GTS3 5 wood..

Also, have you hit them yet?

It seems perfect. I have hit it a little and it would be the perfect next club after my GT280
I love mine. Never did get to the mini but the 5w remains one of my favorite clubs in the bag

The 280 is fantastic. Enough so I didn’t even consider the GT300. But I hit the GT3 with a titan 80Tx and it was just easy and straight.

Unfortunately I've moved on. Might’ve been me, but the 5 turned into a total hook machine.

Did you ever hit the GTS2 7 wood? I have one at my local store I have been eyeing but haven't hit it yet!

It looks so nice at address and nice upgrade over my gt2 7 wood

Anyone in here tested the GTS2 7 wood vs the prior gen GT2 7 wood?

What did you find if anything? Curious about upgrading my GT2 7 wood for the new GTS2 7 wood
